    Thanks for the link.

I was expecting sensational things from the guy, but was very disappointed in his last fight.

Will be a busy day for webcasts - Klitschko-Solis airs at the same time, and presumably anyone w/o access to Epix (or the willingness to spend $10/month on the channel) will be watching online.

I think this fight will wind up being Rigondeaux's Mayweather-Hatton moment, a fight designed to make him look... well, a lot better than was the case against Cordoba.

Casey is poop. This fight is a joke.

    EDIT: Oops on prediction schedule.

Casey is the best Irish prospect in years. I don´t think Rigo stands much of a chance, despite his amateur credentials. As seen in the Cordoba fight you cannot trust these Cuban amateurs in the pros. Casey is fighting at home, so he´ll win a decision and there is no way Rigo can crack Casey´s iron jaw. I once saw him eat flush shoots from Manny in the wildcard gym, not that Manny could ever hit Casey, but Casey dared him. So if you really going to pick Rigo, don´t pick a KO.

I thought RTE did not buy the rights to the fight?

Given that the information is from 99%done.com is there a more reliable source?

Casey is all heart no skillls. Rigo might be the opposite, but he will win this convincingly.

Oh I didn´t expect that somebody considers Rigo must see tv after that stinkbomb against Cordoba. He might have lost more rounds in that fight than the talentless Vitali in his whole career. :giggle:

    I agree.

I had heard what a man eater this guy was; yet in the gym he looked very ordinary, and in the fight far worse than that.

He looked so uninspired to me that I canceled a story on the guy, but wound up doing a far better one on a far more inspired and driven subject, Marlen Esparza.

I wish the kid well as he is a nice and polite kid, but I think he reached his peak as an amateur in Cuba, and is now a bit used up at this period in his career and life as a fighter.

To be honest I find Cuban fighters incredibly overrated.

Great amateurs sure, slick and skilled, but how often do they make a huge amount of noise or live up to their hype as pros? Not that often.

Gamboa is the only Cuban pro I've ever liked.

i think rigondeaux certainly waited too long to defect, and wish he would have in 2000 after his first olympic gold. but i am not ready to write him off.

Casamayor was better than Gamboa to me.

The only Cuban prospect whom I think has potential for true greatness is Erislandy Lara(Fights at 154). He to me is the complete package but until he faces anybody of real worth, we won't know for sure.

Gamboa to me is Zab Judah part 2. There's not much else that needs to be said.

Good. Picked Vitali by KO and can now watch Rigo/Casey and Atletico vs. Madrid.

Rigondeaux has P4Per written all over his handsome face. The thought of Rigondeaux-Gamboa makes me wanna do a sex wee.

you two chaps should start a topic where you can discuss fighters appearances in depth.
