I smell something very fishy. JOnes could have ended that fight in the first but let up. Someone has a huge bet on a Second round KO.

Shogun looks so feeble in this fight, he's not even putting up a fight, and it's not like he's taken a massive beating.

By the way, there is no way this is only a 3 inch height difference

Looks more like 5 at least.

He looks like he's had one too many knee surgeries. Absolutely zero speed or cardio.

Surely that can't just be knee surgery. Did you see the slow, sloppy, crappy punches he was throwing?

Bones is too much for Rua. He isnt shot. He is just losing. There doesnt need to be an explanation for Jones beating his ass. He has too many tools

I said before the fight I wouldn't be surprised if Jones won, but Rua has looked like shit from the opening bell.

Wow that was a dangerous fight for the UFC. Not that people start to recognize what shit they have watched for years in comparison to a real well rounded athlete like Jon Jones. :Hanzkiller:

Well, regardless of how on form (or not) Rua really was, Jones is completely legit, that can't be denied.

The weird thing is, as someone else has said before on this forum, it's his ground game that impresses me more than standup. His standup is nothing special, his ground and pound/wrestling is.

just like every opponent jones has faced. Its the reach. Its hard to train for. Shogun did better than most of his other opponents because of how good he is. But jones' style is too much for Rua.

    Fuck Jon Jones.

    Good easy win for him.

Someone in the UFC must've had a secret for Jones to take this fight. They probably knew Shogun wasn't ready or was looking like shit in camp or something.

And he is supposed to be some Muay Thai expert and Jones fucked him up with his crazy striking...

They are always sloppy, but they aren't usually slow. That's the problem.

Yeah that's true, but they were even sloppier than usual, and he looked all round slow.

I thought Jones mainly fucked him up on the ground actually, he was manhandling him and landing meaty shots on the ground.

He was slow as fuck, threw one kick the whole fight. Gassed for absolutely no reason.

It was like the Coleman fight all over again.

And really, they say it takes about 2 years after knee reconstruction to regain form, and Shogun had spent about 2 and half years before he regained form the last time.

This time he rushed back not even a year.

WRONG!!!! NFL players are back on the field 6-8 montjs after knee reconstruction with no probs. Quit making excuses

Shogun did look lethargic. However, Jones is legit! He is going to be a difficult puzzle for the LHW's to solve.

    Nope. Trpl
Trpl recemtly posted a dozen examples of elite NFL who came back months after knee surg. Ther are dozens more examples to draw from. Your hero lost get over it. Accept it. Shogun is a legend that was. He doesnt want it anymore. Quit makin ecvuses

    Shogun looked like trash

I think he just had Machida's number is all. He has been trash ever since his UFC debut. Not to discredit Jon Jones who is indeed a phenom .

They come back months after because that's how the NFL works.

They are nothing but shells of themselves, the NFL pays them big bucks and they'd rather have them out there hurt then on the sidelines recovering.

When they regain form(if ever) it takes usually 2 years or more.
