Yeah, that's how I feel. Who knows how well an on form Rua would do against Jones, he might also get whupped, but one thing is for sure, Rua looked like shit. And some of that wasn't necessarily that much to do with Jones either, because he also looked awful against Griffin and Coleman.
Whatever. Your boy got SMOKED and youre crying like a girl. Get over yourself. Go hump your Beiber pillow
Man, TLC be honest with yourself. Rua is the same guy but Jones is just a different animal all together. As I said in another post, it's no accident that he has absolutely walked through everyone his fought. And Rua was no different. The skill set of Jon Jones is just far better than Rua in every single department. Forget Silva-GSP at some silly catch weight. Let's do Jones-Silva at 205. That is a mega fight.
Yep. Agreed. Knee reconstruction isn't a big deal at all. It totally doesn't derail careers by the dozen.
poor TLC. I wish he stopped now. But he is going to push this so far and look foolish doing it. Let me get the popcorn.
Seriously, TLC, you are starting to sound your age again, homey. Let it go, quit making excuses and just accept that the great veteran just got chopped down by the new young stud. It doesn't make Rua's legacy or accomplishments any less. Its a changing of the guard.
Seriously. He just seems to pick some of the fighters that there really is nothing bad to say about, and proceeds to try and bash them. Looking foolish in the process.
I do agree with TLC, no need to see Jones/Silva at this point. There are a million matches for Jones right in front of him. Line em up, baby. Personally, I want to see Jones/Rashad next.ray:
bones aint ready for silva yet, but he should still fight him. No soft touches. But he wont fight him next. He still has some cleaning out to do before a fight like that happens.
King Mo had ACL reconstruction and won a fight just over 5 months after surgery. Joe Lauzon was back fighting 8 months after ACL reconstruction. Hermes Franca was back 7 months later. Chris Lytle was back 6 months later subbing Brian Foster with, yes, a kneebar. You like to blame too much of Rua's issues on knee injuries. He just got dominated by a better fighter. Period.
Well, it doesn't have to happen immediately, but Jones-Silva at 205 is far more interesting to me than GSP-Silva at a catchweight. And seriously, there aren't any real challenges for Jones. Evans is the top contender and he doesn't stand much of a chance. Who else? Machida, Rampage? OK, fine. Let him clean out 205 and then Silva.
Bullshit. Go on a real MMA forum. NO ONE like Jon Jones. He's arrogant, overhyped and douchey. Not that I was bashing him to begin with. The point is more about Shogun than Jones.
Just to clarify what I meant by changing the sport. Jones is a pure athlete. He has been trained with a wrestling base, but his athleticism just pours out. He is the next generation of MMA fighter. So many different skills and athletic as a motherfucker.:bears:
