Solis was definitely legitimately floored by a short right hand to the top of the head.

Needless to say, this will get lost in the miscellany of short stories that appear in the press in days to come.

Solis had done well, I don't know if he had won the round, but he had landed two short right hands to the head, and Vitali had landed some jabs and a right hand downstairs, which might have been borderline-low.

Wouldn't say the shot, so much more than his leg landed the wrong way when trying to steady himself. But the two head shots were enough buzz him.

Unfortunate incident, but hard to blame either fighter for it. I thought Vitali was a bit of a dick at the end of the fight, to be honest. I understand he was frustrated (and Solis talked a lot of shit during the buildup), but shit happens.

In here the KD looks bit weird. What we ca be sure of is that the shot lands to an area which sometimes has dramatic effects and Solis gets buzzed. Then his legs seem to turn bit jelly, his left leg tilts awkwardly when he starts to stumble back, but as he hits the floor he grabs his right knee

If Solis had gotten up without having hurt his leg, he would have been 10-8 down from the first round, a round where he had had some success. He then would have been chasing the fight, and having tasted the power wasn't likely to get too much done, and would have been hurt again and stopped.

I'm pretty sure that Vitali had his measure one way or the other.

Greenberg says over 100,000 according to ProBoxing-Fans.com.

It sounds like a positive review of the event from Greenberg, despite how short the fight was.

the good news is it proved that the internet is a viable vehicle for broadcasting a good fight live.

i guess that depends what your definition of a good fight is.

What problems with registration? I was able to start watching the fight about 2 seconds after the first round ended.

Edit: This was really a good matchup for Epix to choose as their first foray into boxing. I don't think it says anything about watching boxing online, in general. Only when I can click onto a website and get a tv-like experience will the internet be a viable substitution (for me) for the tv when it comes to watching boxing. This wasn't even close to a tv-like experience.

Interesting undercard matchups, obscure foreign title fights with English commentary...that's where the internet can serve a useful purpose. Not for main event matchups that you want to get regular people to watch.

Epix blew it. I never could log on to see the fight on their site. I had to settle for a shitty stream I found. All I could say when the fight ended was, that's what happens when you're a fat ass and you fall down. Get in shape Solis!!!!

Really? You mean you had problems setting up an account or you had the account set up and couldn't log in at the time of the fight?

Epix to remain in the Vitali Klitschko business? Liakhovich is a name being discussed for June 4 according to Dan Rafael.
