Personally I would hate to fight Hopkins in a quick rematch. The dude adjust so well DURING a fight it would scare me to think how well he can do in a rematch when he already "knows" Pascal. I like Bernard.
I look at it as a win-win. I'll be rooting for Pascal, so if he wins, great. If Hopkins wins, I can always say I was there the night he broke George Foreman's record.
I don't get all the controversy with the first fight. Without the knockdowns Hopkins would have won, sure, but there WERE knockdowns, and they count. Period.
i cant understand the logic in going to a hopkins fight even if tickets are free. he fooled me twice when i attended his fight with eastman and both taylor bouts. never again
I'm going to meet my brother is Montreal that weekend anyway. As someone that lives so far away from live boxing, I can't be in a city that's holding a title fight and not go.
They're fighting in Montreal again ??? I mean wasn't the whole point of the rematch to get fair scoring and they're hosting the fight at the same turf again? ....Don't get it
The judges bent over backwards to provide more fair scoring on a previous shotime fight. Combine that with the revenue and lack of interest anywhere else and you have your answer. Jake could break it down better (if he cared to) though.
Montreal is my second favourite city(that I've been to)... after NYC. We'll hit the town hard if you're around. Get at me when you know for sure. My brother and a good friend of mine are going too.
