The current Pacquiao is a league above any version of Mosley or Oscar.

I've been a fan of Mosley forever, and he IS an excellent fighter, but apart from the first Oscar fight, Mosley has pretty much always fallen short against elite fighters.

No version of Mosley beats the welterweight Pacquiao that slapped Cotto around the ring like a red headed step child.

I think the point is that given Mosley's power, Manny's aggressiveness and Manny's general susceptibility to right hands (an issue he's avoided by either fortuitous or smart match making ever since the Marquez rematch), there's more chance of a freaky 1-punch turn around in this fight than there usually is in fights with such a big disparity in quality.

My pick is still, Manny obv, but as fights go where literally a guys only chance is a fluke KO as you say, this one is much more interesting than most.

I guess so, I agree with you, Shane IS an underrated puncher. He still has quick hands too.

Funny thing is, I think Shane is a much better welterweight puncher than lightweight. I think he was fairly weight drained at lightweight and generally weaker and less powerful. He's also undersized at 154.

But I don't know man, it's Pacquiao we're talking about. If he was kind of chinny it would be more interesting, but his chin is fucking solid.

It is boxing, anything can happen. Mosley can punch at 147 and Pacquiao really is a bulked up featherweight, so a KO is surely possible, but I just can't imagine Pacquiao getting KO'd with one punch, or being beaten purely with power.

I feel the same way with Floyd. It takes more than power to beat either of those two.

I can imagine Pacquiao being hurt by Mosley sure, but I can't imagine him not recovering in time, or actually being KO'd with 1 punch.

Also, against elite opposition, Mosley isn't that great at landing big shots, despite his handspeed etc. Although he had Cotto on his bike late on, he didn't really put a dent in Cotto or seriously hurt him.

You always say the same thing before every big fight. "This guy is being underrated" or "He's gonna shock everyone". Shane Mosley is finished and has been for awhile now.

    About 2% chance.

    This fight makes no sense.

Dissapointing but not susprising from Manny.

    Please.

It's a lock that if Mosley wins at least 30 seconds of any round we can go to:

"Imagine if that was a prime Shane". :wack:

"He would have been quicker on the trigger, he would have hit the body more, he would have had better reflexes" blah blah

Mayweather is/was a better fighter than Shane and so is Pacquiao.

Your seriously something else. I've been posting on boxing websites since 1999 and I've never seen a bigger fan boy, ever.

Not only would I pick a prime Shane and DLH over "The current Pacquiao," I would pick Pea to make him look a fool and Tito to ko that ass pretty quickly. That is if they weren't required to come in at 140 1/2.:nana:

Same day weigh ins no longer exist, so that's completely irrelevant.

No, because he is a "bulked up" featherweight you fucking idiot. He's a natural featherweight. Obviously with his increased mass and muscle, he can no longer make featherweight.

But ultimately he is a 5'5 natural featherweight who started his career at flyweight, just like Duran fighting at welter and middle didn't change the fact that he is a 5'7 natural lightweight.

    In that case you're retarded.

Pacquiao is significantly better than all of them. In fact he's one of the very best fighters ever.

The only one that would stand a chance against Manny is Whitaker.

We're not talking about Sugar Ray Leonard here, we're talking about Mosley and Oscar, and a fucking lead footed chump who couldn't win 10 seconds of a round against Winky Wright.

It's interesting you call me a fanboy because actually, I would pick Floyd to beat any version of Mosley, and also pick Floyd to win every second of every round against Tito, and I absolutely loathe Floyd.

Liking Manny has nothing to do with it, I just recognise him for one of the very best fighters in history, which is exactly what he is.

It's funny, since the Manny hype has subsided, he has become underrated.

People confidently picking a young Mosley over him? Mosley has always been world class but always fallen short against elite fighters. Manny isn't just elite, he's all time elite.

Mosley is not a legend, never was, never will be

he was an excellent fighter who looked like a great fighter in ONE fight... stylistically, he gives some great fighters a lot of toruble, but he also gets dominated by some others

Pacquiao IS a great fighter, as is (was, anyway) Floyd Mayweather

Your answer is NO so stop calling him a fucking featherweight. He can't make featherweight by your own admissions so shut the fuck up about how tiny he is.

Boxrec has him listed at 5'6 1/2. Until you provide some kind of video of you tape measuring him, stfu about him being 5'5. Next month you will be saying he's 5'4.

What did he weight on his bday? Maybe he was like 1lb 4oz, that would shoot him straight to the top of the greatest fighter ever!:clapagain:

Really? When was the last time he beat a 147 fighter of their caliber?

    Answer= NEVER.

Ike Quartey would beat the welterweights he has faced.:nana:

Maybe people doubt Manny because he has never fought a up an coming, undefeated, at the pinnacle of his prime type of figher. Shane, DLH, Pea, Tito all have, some multiple times. Manny's resume is almost the equivelent of DLH fighting old ass Chavez types through his entire career.

YOU and some other retards put Manny on this other level because you put WAY too much stock into what he weighed when he was 13 years old.

Since he is a featherweight, maybe he will fight JuanMa at 126 in his next fight. That would be exciting!
