How long would it take Lewis to make Arreola cry?

Lewis takes a look at him for a round, then blasts him out in second or third

Lewis gets him out within 2 or 3, as UGO said

Agree with Ugo and Cdogg, could be one round - depends on LL's mood. You have to keep in mind that 10 years ago, Arreolo isn't a TV level fighter. LL might turn in an underwhelming performance.

Ahhh yes, Vitali is as good as Lewis, even though they actually fought, when Lewis was inactive, old and out of shape. And Lewis won.

Yeah, but cuts don't count and Lewis was lucky the fight was stopped and then he retired because he was scared of Vitali, and...

Lewis would stop him in 3 rounds right now.

I accept Lewis was an innately better boxer than Vitali with more finesse and better 1 punch power, but this unilateral, one-sided analysis of both fighters on the night they did fight is unfair.

If we want to make a big issue of how "Old, tired and heavy" Lewis was, then please make as big an issue of how "relatively green and unprepared, and rematch-desiring" that Vitali was.

As for Lewis vs Arreola, I see it being a carbon copy of Vitali vs Arreola, it ends the same way, just quite earlier, thanks to the better accuracy and heavier-hands of Lewis.

Lennox had some fairly soporific performances in his career, its a safe bet that he takes a look at Arreola for 2 rounds and then starts to get off jabs and right hands. Arreola has way more heart and desire than Tua, and more mass than the likes of Mavrovic, but he doesn't have the power of Tua or the awkwardness or pure condition of Mavrovic.

Lewis would eventually turn him into putty, 5 or 6 rounds tops.

Vitaly wasn't green at the time of the fight. If that's the case then anyone who ever fought Lewis is green because they didn't meet a fighter of his caliber before.

Props to Vitaly for being a man and fighting and willing to go out on his shield and to fight Lewis again.

Can you still be considered green when you've had 30+ professional fights?

The only thing arreola would beat LL in is a 'biggest jugs' contest on wet t shirt Tuesday.

Green in the sense that he didn't have the experience from the big fights. I think confidence is a big part of Vitali's game and after the bout against Lewis his confidence went up quickly. Compare his performances against Obed Sullivan and Danny Williams and there is a big difference.

And no, I am not saying that more experienced Vitali would have won nor do I compare him to Roy Jones here

Because big fights change fighters. Vitali could have had another 30 fights against the likes of Byrd, Donald or Hide and he never would have learned what he did that night vs Lewis.

I have to disagree here, and I don't like to do it but......Vitali fought awful tight and drained himself of a lot of energy versus Danny Williams, he looked "large and in charge" but he was open-mouthed from the 2nd round and a lot of the sharpness was leaving his work.

That short left-hook at the end of the 3rd was a real fight turner, whatever little revival Williams had going was over by the end of that and it allowed Vitali to coast.

It may have been the political dynamic to the fight- he did break training to be in The Ukraine, but I am not sure. He seemed very jaded despite having a great first round.

That said, taken together, his wins over Johnson, Sanders and Vitali made him look every inch the guy who derived great motivation and confidence from his performance versus Lewis.

I completely disagree. 30 pro fights is more than enough. There is no way on Earth a fighter like that can be considered green. I may be incorrect here but hadn't Vitali already won a title at that point? Was he not also in his 30's and been fighting professionally for years?

Not green. Not in the slightest.

The version of Lewis that fought Vitali would probably stop Arreola in 6 rounds on cuts.

Yeah, and Arreola would be ahead on the cards too. Wow, you know, Lewis was diabetic that night. Did you know that? Huh? Lewis was a 450lb Diabetic mess that night and he STLL beat Vitali.:finger::finger:

Lennox Lewis lost 7 toes in a motor boat accident and HBO make him fight with specially built shoes. And he STILL won by stoppage.

    Vitali is a bum.
