UFC Fight Night 24 3/26/11 (Prediction Contest)

How does Johnson make 170? He's huge at the weight. Looks more like a 205 pounder.

He's a good offensive fighter, I like him.

Not good defensively and not too much heart though.

 

Yeah I figured that would be the result.

Johnson is a wrestler first and foremost and Hardy is terrible at it.

 

On TUF, a couple of times he looked OK offensively actually. Overall though he's just not very good. He lost to riddle in addition to getting wiped out by Wilks.

Possibly lacking in the heart department too yeah, seems like a front runner.

 

So how bad did Hathaway look against McCray?

And was Jung telling the truth about changing his style etc?

2: Yes. Controlled aggression, actually used grappling. Great fight for him.

 

Dominating end to the 2nd for Davis.

Nice. I hit the bullseye on 3 of the maincard fights. Too little too late. Dammit

 

Pretty surprising on both counts. Especially Hathaway. Wonder what is up with him, after two very good wins in Story and Sanchez.

 

Mediocre performance, but beating Nog clearly is good enough. Didn't really expect him to run through Nog at all.

 

Good win for Davis. Not as good as advertised though.

 

Well, definitely not as good as Jones.

Phil Davis is a nice guy and all but I wasn't impressed with his performance. His take downs were something like 2 for 10 .

 

I sorta did the same thing . Had to get risky for the last card in order to make up ground.

 

The main event and co main event were both some major boring shit. Awfull fights

 

I have to agree with TLC, I didn't expect Davis to run through a vet like Lil Nog. It was a huge win for a guy still labeled as a prospect. As far as his takedowns Boss, to me, its very clear that Lil Nog has worked very hard on his TD defense since Brilz.

 

The truth is that the Bellator card was 100 times more entertaining. You had the sub of the year and an all out slugfest between Linderman and Davis.

I liked the Korean Zombie pulling off the first twister sub in UFC history, but it doesn't compare to Hale's inverted triangle from side control bottom.
