FLOYD IS a BITCH...a scared of Manny Pacquiao...

Pascal is a different kinda of BITCH....he at least had the courage to step in the ring w/ Hopkins...but after 3-4 rounds the bitch in him came out.

Pascal looked like a clown in there.

If he really tought Hopkin was roiding, he should have asked for a test before signing the contract.

It's fucking ridiculous that there isn't mandatory olympic-style testing in high-profile fights.

It's even more fucking ridiculous that any fighter would object to getting tested. About the only thing I could tolerate would be for the requested fighter to ask to be compensated for the inconvenience...and I'm talking about like $10,000...enough to taste, but not enough to eat.

You want to pay athletes 10000 dollars for taking one doping test. LOL. For that kind of money half the athletes currently competing in Olympic sports, would switch from trying to win their events to being professional tested for doping.

This doesn't really look good for Golden Boy after what they said about Pac, especially Schaefer.

Pretty much. Doesn't say much for his confidence either, seeing as Bernie is like 50 :kidcool:

From the interviews and press conferences it looks like he did ask during the negotiations.

Even if he did, he signed a contract without that clause right?

One thing is for sure though, with the shoe on the other foot, this does make Golden Nuggets look like a massive hypocrite.

    I like his approach, though.

And I hate to be like everyone else and turn everything into Floyd-Pac - but just think about how much leverage Floyd would've been able to carry had he agreed to the fight anyway.

He could've thrown this in Pac/Arum's face every step of the way, that they refused to test but he still signed anyway for the sake of taking the fight ANd would still go through with the testing himself. That would've truly been checkmate for Pac.

So with that - I think it's great that Pascal demanded it, didn't get his way, still signed and is now putting Hopkins/Golden Boy in a position of embarrassment.

That said, Pascal still has to prove that he's as good in the ring as he is at carrying a press tour.

At the time of the Pac-Mayweather drugs furore, I said that all this scene would do is have ripple effects where the argument over drugs would seep over into other fights, fights of far less significance than Pac-Mayweather.

And thus it has come to pass. Povetkin was one of the first, demanding WADA testing for Wlad. Wlad agreed, then Povetkin disappeared. Is Wlad roiding? Possibly, but he did agree to the test, maybe he called a bluff. Bottom line is that the fight never got made and now David Haye is next in line. Haye operates out of North Cyprus which is about as open to steroid-testers as North Korea is to Haitian refugees.

Now we have Bernard Hopkins, 45 years of age, looking ageless, and refusing to take tests. Yet the people who back him are the same people who back Mayweather.

    A nice tangled weave.

I see where you are coming from, but as far as morals and embarrassment go, I regard most of the world, and North America in particular, as pretty moral-proof. All Schaefer has to do is spread a few $$$ around and get the media sites in on his side, publishing positive {ha ha} material and reminding everyone that Hopkins is an ATG etc.

I said at the time that I honestly think agreeing to the fight anyway would have been Floyd's best move, psychologically, IF Pac is on roids (and possibly to some extent if he isn't).

It would show a level of confidence that would disturb the opponent, like "Yeah, take your little roids if you want, see if I care", plus like you say, he'd be able to continuously nause them about it and get in their heads etc in the build up.

Who knows what difference that would make, but it could possibly make more of a difference than having the fight WITH tests that could possibly be cheated anyway.

Maybe it's says he's a guy that hasn't been ruined by the trappings of being a successful boxer. Maybe it says he's a guy that hasn't let himself get grossly out of shape between fights even post 40. Maybe it says he dedicated himself, heart and soul to his craft, without exception. And maybe it says it pisses him of that all of that could be stained by allegations of PED use by a guy that couldn't beat him...

    Maybe?

I actually think that Pascal is way better in the ring , than at carrying a press tour, as he pretty much always embarasses himself in press conference, cause he tryes too much and is just not very funny.

Met him a few times and he's a real nice guy, but he watched too many Ali press conference and he wants to emulate him. And you can see that it's a fake. I think he would be way more popular if he was acting more like he does in real life.

That was just my initial thought/reaction to how Hopkins reacted to the situation. Hopkins got so angry. He could of just sat there and ignored that lame twat. I personally do not think Hopkins is on something. He's a great athlete and at his age is looking in tip-top condition. Credit to him.
I think it may be right that the reason why Pascal would accuse him is because he couldn't beat Hopkins, he couldn't beat the older guy.

I'm certainly backing Hopkins in the re-match.

I agree he tries too hard - but my point being that he's talked A LOT of shit before the first Hopkins fight as well as in the past few days, and so far hasn't even come close to proving he's the better fighter.

If these guys doing the accusing weren't such bitches, they would go to the AC's and get the rules changes in regards to testing. I don't like how every time someone throws out an accusation, the dude being accused WITH NO PROOF has to run out and get a test to clear his name? Fuck that.
