Kenny Egan was fighting in this for the Miami Gallos. I saw some of his fights, he won't make it as a pro I am sure of it. He is now also attending regular sessions of Alcoholics Anonymous. Egan is 29 and was recently beaten by a 17 year old. :tick:

Yeah, he was one of the bigger names in the World Series, but I wasn't that impressed with the fights I saw of him.

That's part of the reason why I like the idea of the WSB.

Egan has a degree of toughness but he is one of the worst contenders for an Olympic Gold for some time. He wasn't a really brilliant amateur and the WSB suggests he won't be a really good pro either.

I interpret WSB as amateur boxing in the pro-style, a sort of an elementary litmus test for the pros- longer rounds, no head gear, regular gloves, win the round rather than score points.
