Makes sense to market this fight the way the rest of JCC Jr.'s career has been...supposedly the possible locations are down to Staples Center and Dodger Stadium. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spo...chavez-jr-june-4-title-shot-coming-to-la.html The (boring) possibility also exists that Miguel Vazquez could be on the undercard... I hope to God that this doesn't become an HBO PPV... yet it's what it sounds like will become the case. With all of the names being mentioned, I can see one or two settling for off-TV bouts. But for what it will cost to add everyone to the show, I don't see too much being given away for free (or the cost of an HBO subscription).
Yeah, I agree...I was a little surprised to see Kim write HBO, because I really don't see how this doesn't end up on PPV if some combination of Rios, Vazquez, and Marquez are on the card. But if HBO wants to dig in their pockets and pull out a triple-header, I wouldn't complain. :: Any chance the network is willing to do that given what's gone on with Top Rank this year?
Yeah, thinking about it, I'm not sure what kind of budget HBO would have left if they shelled out the dollars for this card.
I can tell it´s a tribute to the original JCC. They have found a delusional taxi driver with a belt.
The fight won't draw, except for Mexican drunks looking to get a load on and raise hell on a Saturday night in the barrio.
No Rios on this card...he's headlinig Showtime in July according to Steve Kim. Arum did tell him Rafael Marquez will be on the card, but considering Arum wants to make a rematch with Juanma, probably shouldn't hold your breath for a top notch opponent. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/its-just-everything-for-calderon
zbik fans better not represent too hard, or they may end up like that vagiant fan who was nearly killed in the parking lot.

They might want to look for a better opponent than Dib; my hunch is that JCC Jr pulls out and Mikey winds up serving as main event. although even if the main event remains intact, I'd still rather than anyone other than Dib is brought in for a televised fight.
Well for starters, Chavez has already bailed against far lesser fighters (even though theres more at stake here). Looking at that picture, "fighter" is not the first word that comes to mind for anyone first glancing at Chavez. If he does go through it, he'll be training to make weight rather than training for a fight.
