That's a tad far. Opinions were pretty split on that one. Personally, I think the early KD won the fight for Hatton by a point. Was razor close.

Besides, Collazo was a legit welter.

So by the end of the fight, Collaza was beating the shit out of Hatton? Lets just say the fight was 1 min longer, would Hatton have been KOed?

That doesnt always mean something in boxing.

Honestly, I don't remember. Still, I do remember it was a close fight above Hatton's best weight.

Collazo was involved in distance fights with Mosley and Berto. He staggered Berto and climbed off the mat vs Mosley to drop a decision.

Collazo mixed in far higher company than Spadafora, at a higher weight.

Watch it again. And my point about Collazo was replying to Reed's point about not being to beat affect hatton if you didnt have power.

He has no power man. Berto's chin is suspect.

Some people find it offensive that Floyd brags about how much money he has, especially in this recession.

I'm not bothered in the least, because I figure he'll end up broke. Or locked up.

In 15 FEWER Wins than Spaddy has, Collazo Only has 4 FEWER KO's...

    Spaddy - 45 Wins, 19 KO's
    Collazo - 30 Wins, 15 KO's

Collazo has CLEARLY Demonstrated a SUPERIOR Ability to HURT his Opponents, than Spaddy has...Moreso, Collazo was BIGGER than Hatton (Hatton's 1st Fight @ '47), Whereas a Prime Spaddy would B MOVING UP to Face Hatton...

"Beat the Dog Shit Out of Hatton" is a Stretch...CLOSE Fight that Could have Gone Either Way & Yes, Hatton Flirted w/Being Down & OUT in the Final Round...But REED Thinks Hatton Did JUST Enough to Earn the Knod...

REED said you have to be able to hurt Hatton. At welter, Collazo was able to do that.

I'd take Collazo's 50% KO rate at welter over Spaddy 40% KO rate at lightweight, personally.

Exactly. Collazo was able to hurt Hatton despite not having much power. Spaddy could do it too. Simply by boxing circles around him, tiring him out and then finishing him off.

The Only Thing that "Bothers" REED about that Aspect of Floyd is that he GENUINELY Believes it Makes him a BETTER Person than Someone Else, who Probably has LESS Money than he Does...& that Mentality has NEGATIVELY Influenced Black Fighters that REED's Privy To...

Yes. That is why im a fan of the fighter not the person. I could never defend what someone does outside of the ring. Its their life to fuck up.

REED's Basically Acknowledging that Hatton was On Queer Street in the Final Round...He was ALMOST Dropped & Conceivably COULD have Been KO'ed in that Round...

But REED's Also Acknowledging that Collazo is a BETTER Puncher than Spaddy, Besides Being the BIGGER Man...

I think its fair to say that a powder puff big man might just punch harder than a smaller man who is regarded as a "hard" hitter.

Just for arguments sake: Wilfredo Rivera or Naseem Hamed, who had the harder punch???

This is BOXING "theatre of the unexpected" anything can happen!

Buster Douglas was thought to be a joke and he kod mike Tyson!

If PAC is scared and won't take a drug test then Floyd has to fight someone else and who better than a guy that almost KILLED him in sparring? A guy that has earned his shot but no one has given it to him yet? An undefeated slick southpaw?
Spaddy MIGHT destroy PAC for all we know! He is UNDEAFEATED not like PAC who was dominated and knocked out like a bum before!

Spaddy should have lost to the smaller spastic version of Hatton, Leo Dorin.

    Of course he will.

    Spaddy has:

    *beaten me in sparring
    *mad tats
    *been to jail
    *is a southpaw
    *is undefeated
*is from Pittsburgh- so its Steelers vs Green Bay, kind of.
