You have to love it when even the ads refer to the fight as a tune-up.

Main Events know what this is...that's why the video starts with Polish fans and flags and not Adamek and McBride.

They should call it The Last Big Heist.

I've always been an Adamek fan but Main Events has done nothing more than fuck the dog over the course of the past year. Kathy Duva gets to cry to her favorite writers that the networks freeze her out, but it's because she has nothing to offer besides crap like this.

They probably felt if they showed it slow-mo, the people that actually care who Adamek's opponent is would think it was the video, not the fighter, that moves at sloth-like speed.

 

Yeah, I agree.

They've sat on a win over Chris Arreola, of all fighters, for a year...but HBO deserves part of the blame for making that win significant enough that it, alone, basically put Adamek on their heavyweight "short list".

Because of it, I hope the Klitschko's fight Haye and Adamek this year and neither winds up on HBO.

 

It should not be on PPV.

McBride wasted what little impetus he had after he beat Tyson by being blown out by Mollo. Golota beat Mollo and McBride had him going before his fat 280lb ass ran out of steam. McBride is a joke and I look forward to seeing him get blasted out in 1 or 2 rounds, which he will be.

 

Can you blame her? Adamek does not have the size, the style or the correct skillset to compete at heavyweight. He has had enough trouble to beat Arreola, Grant and Estrada. Cunningham stunned him a few times at cruiserweight. Vitali Klitschko will most likely end his career.

 

I agree with all of that... just don't need to hear her crying that the networks aren't throwing her a bone. The Arreola fight was the only one among his past five or six that warranted TV coverage, and they won't accept the paydays being offered by ESPN2 and the likes.

The dog in this is not Adamek, its McBride. McBride has never been professional in his outlook or his attitude, Adamek has. I'm no Adamek "fan" but has rolled the dice in more ways than one and probably deserves a career best pay-day before he is finally beaten into retirement.

 

I don't care how many big guys Ademek beats, he is never beating a Klitschko. This whole run up to a title shot is a joke. If Michael Grant spooks you into fighting Vinny Maddalone you are in trouble.

I'm inclined to agree about Adamek because a professional outlook consists of tanking ped cocktails, a security deposit we should insist, and it is a rather frosty leech of a big biz, a cautious pick, and virtual dive for money infront of the common moron. These Adamek pay per views might as well be called "Polish Power" or something...and probably would be if Top Rank was the promoter.

 

Khan vs McCloskey isn't on PPV which puts this farce into proper context. This fight should not be PPV.
