I never really thought about but Diaz has a point. What other MMA Champ has defended his belt 3 times in 6 months? That is some shit. And to fight again in a little over 2 months since Cyborg kicked the hell out of his knees has to be tough. He's also had 5 fights in 14 months, but one was a DREAM bout so I can't fault Strikeforce. I guess Strikeforce had a solution when Nick said he wants to get paid. They'll just schedule him to fight every two months.
It definitely makes you wonder. In his prefight interview he made a comment about being the most "over-fought" fighter out there. Do you guys know of any suspension like he was stating?
I have no clue what suspension he is talking about. I think he might have said something to Daley at the end of the fight as he was sitting on the stool, but who knows.
He said some stuff to Daley, and if you watch the end, he pushes the camera so it shows Daley stuggling to get up on the stool after the stoppage. An unnamed "Official" said something to him in the ring about his behavior, so that is why he thought he would face a fine or suspension. Nothing is going to happen though.
I'm pretty sure he pushed the camera over there becuase people boo'd the stoppage like Daley was perfectly fit to continue or something. Which he was not as the camera showed thanks to Diaz. ::
It makes you wonder BUT at the same time, why would they be trying to get rid of him? I mean before the buyout, when they were in competition with the UFC, Nick was probably their best AND more exciting fighter. Why on earth would they want to lose him?
Diaz is just a funny dude, he has no filter between his brain and mouth. He doesn't care what he sounds like, he just says what ever comes to mind, crazy or not.
There isn't a worse/better interviewee in all of MMA than Nick Diaz. With Nick it's either the crazy rambling gems like this one or a completely disinterested response as if the question is keeping him from the bong. Gotta love him.
