Personally I would favor Sonnen over anyone in the division including a rematch with Silva.

And the UFC isn't tricking me into thinking that. I've watched him easily beat guys like Marquardt, Okami, Miller and Filho. And I saw him stagger Silva with punches and then take him down at will. If not for his odd propensity for getting subbed, he would likely be one of the Top 12-15 P4P guys in the sport.

I don't know what it takes to be considered "elite" but there is a huge gap between being 'elite' and being a 'scrub'.

I disagree. He beat a drugged up Filho who subbed Sonnen when he was motivated. He beat Miller who has lost 4 of his last 6. The Marquardt and Okami were decent wins, but they are nothing spectacular themselves. Besides, Sonnen was most likely all roided up when he beat them anyways.

Wait.... Easy wins over 2 guys considered among the top 5 or 6 guys at the weight in Okami and Marquardt aren't spectacular.

And the Dan Miller that Sonnen beat was undefeated in his last 10 fights including 3 consecutive UFC wins. His problems started with getting owned by Sonnen.

But this simple really. You can shut me up by just giving me the guys at 185 that should be ahead of Sonnen. Obviously there is Silva, but who else?

And again, imagine if we diminished the career of everyone that had a single steroid issue in boxing or MMA.

The bottom line is you can watch the clip forward and backwards yet Dana never utters the statement "Anderson Silva is the best boxer in the world"
