http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/04/15/11/arum-setting-pacquiao-vs-puerto-rico’s-cintron-fight Pac/Roach/Arum looking for the next dangerous opponent, as always. But seriously, let's not underestimate Cintron, he is a great athlete - just check out his vertical!
The question is, What would happen if Cintron lands a right BOMB on Pacmans chin......................
Now that you mention it I wouldnt be the bit surprised if Shane lays him out. I cant believe how many posters are underestimating him.
If Cintron landed a Bomb on Pac, Pacman would be done. But of course, Cintron would have to be in a plane 20,000 feet in the air and the bomb would have to be named Atom.
He would have been too much for Manny. Manny looks real good against these old and slow guys like Oscar and Margarito.
True...Manny's fighting alot of Old/Slow guys. Cotto is young and fairly athletic though. Shane was always a spurt fighter and he didn't have the Mayweather/Hopkins' ability to reduce the opponent's punch output..which is what would be required against a high volume aggressive animal like Pacquiao. Prime Shane wasn't "too much" for Wilfredo Rivera until the Rican folded at the end of the tenth..so how de hell would he have been too much for Manny Pacquiao?
Doesn't matter about Rivera, what matters is what happens in the ring that night. Too big and strong, let his shots off very fast and hard, too powerful for Manny who would have been just too small to beat him. Take the Mosley that beat Oscar the first time and he beats the whey out of Pacquiao, and Oscar that night beats Manny as well. Mosley would have been the one steering Manny around and moving his body into position to let the big shots go underneath. I am a fan of Manny's and he is a nice guy, but man there is no way he beats that version of Mosley.
So do I, actually. I'm not sure Floyd beats a prime Shane either, based on what happened in round 2 of that one.
What happened in round 2? Floyd gets rocked temporarily and immediately has Shane on the defensive. 39 years of age doesn't show up as early as the 2nd round. Shane was still fresh....if he could have EVER stopped Floyd he should have stopped him then. If Shane had hurt him that way later in the fight or been hurting him often throughout the fight you would have a point. But Shane stunned him and tried to finish him off (while he was still fresh early in the fight) and Floyd not only easily survived..he had Shane backtracking and trying to survive himself.
I'd like to point out that Kermit Cintron would be the biggest puncher that Pacquiao has ever faced (he'd still lose in devastating fashion, but that's aside the point)
In Shane's prime he was beat by someone less skillful, not as fast and not as powerful as pac. Im sure pac handles him.
Cintron won't dive out of the ring. Come on. he's already proved he can do that. I look for him to clear Manny and the top rope in a single bound.
