Degale vs Smith British 168lb Title. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/g8RvaVQp_Ms" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
By the way Sky are doing a build up programme to the Cleverley-Braehmer/DeGale-Groves night, which is going to show footage of the Cleverley-DeGale sparring sessions, should be really good stuff.
So given Golden Boy's history in bringing along prospects... Groves will get his ass handed to him. Two fights later, he'll be on HBO. Chunky will move towards a world title... and then ditch Warren for Golden Boy.
Jake please, which editor on Boxingscene has a blood thirsty lust for Haye's press releases?.. He's there every 4th position up the index ^,.. :tick: ,.. it's done the job, and done it well on the forums of that site I notice,.. they're well convinced..::
Well I guess when you have something to say every 20 minutes, you're bound to remain in the news more often than others. ::
I know my boys Slice and Hut are huge advocates of DeGale, and I've liked him ever since the Olympics, but somehow I don't see the super special fighter they speak of. He seems very good without question, he should beat Groves with ease, but I don't see this P4P guy in DeGale.
What I liked about him was that he did it effortlessly,.. he's got more gears in him, but he stayed clinked in first gear because he were thoroughly schooling him so easily, it was a 'casual' arsewhuppin' ... Smith isn't very good, granted.. but Degale reminds me of Calzaghe, he's got plenty in reserve depending on the quality of the opponent.
It's the more subtle things. He's fast but doesn't have Pacquiao or even Khan type speed, but he's fast enough. He's not a huge puncher but he's got enough of a dig to keep you honest. The thing which is really impressive is the footwork, he switches stances naturally and without thinking, and he is effective from either stance. There aren't many fighters in the world today who can do this type of thing. He can fight inside or outside comfortably, and while he has a tendency to get caught with a shot here and there due to lack of concentration, his defence is becoming really impressive. The upward trajectory of his improvement since turning pro has been incredible, every single fight he's got something new in his armoury, and as Kauki said, he hasn't shown everything yet as he hasn't needed to get out of first gear.
:goodnews: Yes, yes, I know the one, it's gotta be the good ol' Irishman, an indirect associate of Pilger in a way,.. pinpointing 'chemical reactions', catalysts of editorial poison as it were,.. and ...a part time 'fin hunter' too ...although, that avenue has purged into extinction,...- it was bound to happen with only the one shark in this little brackish stream. He was a creature of much rage,...... but honour also, as it looks like he's kept his word...::
