Good Move on Tommy Z's Part...Instead of "Hiring" Some CHEAP "Trainer" to Basically CHEERLEAD, Towel him Off & Give him a Drink of Water btwn Rounds, Zbikowski is Hiring 1 of Boxing's ELITE Trainers...

Manny Steward DOESN'T Come Cheap, so REED Takes this News as a Sign of Tommy Z's SERIOUSNESS about Boxing...

Are you SURE about That, Neil???...REED Would EXPECT Guys like Manny, Roach, McGuirt & Others to Get MORE than the Traditional 10% or So, that Trainers Typically Receive....

some of those guys get a lower percentage if anything cuz when dealing with top guys they may get offered a flat fee instead of a % when it gets into tens of millions.

This guy actually sounds serious. I hope he hurts Andy Lee when he meets him. Everybody else seems to do.

There is no reason to believe that Zbik will do any better than Quinn Navarre, Otis Tisdale, or Too Tall Jones.

Moderately successful amateurs = moderately successful pros.

Boxing needs to make Tommy into its Brock Lesnar.

Nope. For the most part, he charges a flat rate in cases like this. So Tommy Z is paying out of pocket.

Roach does the same thing. All the hot trainers do this.

This case might be unique seeing as how Zbikowski is currently unemployed.

I see your article and raise you this one. From Fightnews.

    Five fighters suspended

Tommy Z and Andy Ruiz on the list

A total of five fighters participating on Saturday’s boxing card at the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, have been suspended by the Chickasaw Nation Boxing Commission for 45 days and must provide a negative drug test from a certified lab or have “failed drug test suspended pending a hearingâ€￾ placed in their FightFax record. Popular Baltimore Ravens defensive back Tommy Zbikowski is among those listed. The others include heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr., lightweight John “Actionâ€￾ Jackson, lightweight Terrance Roy and light heavyweight David Robinson. Most commissions normally only test fighters participating in title fights, however for Saturday night’s card they tested all the fighters.

According to fightnews, he went to a certified clinic and got tested as he was ordered to and it came back clean. It's still a little strange that they would issue a suspension, unless he failed their test. In any case, the suspension is lifted.

Agreed, at least there was some level of testing done, unlike Texas.

Maybe Steroids are the reason everything is bigger in Texas,

Generally Speaking, Oklahoma DOESN'T Test Either...Texas Fighters, Matchmakers & Promoters Go to Oklahoma when they Get Fed Up w/the "Tight Ship" that the Texas Commission Runs:lol:...

In the Case of the Top Rank Card, it was Held @ a Casino on a Indian Reservation, which Governs ITSELF...Whenever a Fairly Sizable Card is Brought to that Particular Casino, they Do SOMETHING to Show their "Power" to Top Rank...

A Fighter Named Ray Ximenez, Jr. was Supposed to Fight there Late Last Year...Ray was a Badass Ammy Fighter, Multiple Time National Champion & he was Scheduled to Fight a Complete BUM...But Ray was Only 17 @ the Time, so the Indian Reservation WASN'T Having it...The Guys from Top Rank Pleaded w/them & Let it B Known that in Texas & Oklahoma, a 17 COULD Fight Pro w/Parental Consent & Ray's Trainer is his FATHER, Ray, Sr....

Nonetheless, the Reservation WOULDN"T Budge Saying,"We're NOT Governed by Texas OR Oklahoma, we're Governed by OURSELVES"...
