    Pacquiao's was more impressive in real time for me: I honestly thought he had killed Ricky for about thirty seconds or so; and he did so at Hatton's best weight where he had reigned pretty much supremely for half a decade. But Floyd dominated an unbeaten, supremely confident Hatton by beating him to the punch and being stronger on the inside, which surprised me at the time. But that fight was at 147, not 140, which detracts from it IMO (despite the claims of others to the contrary).

    Tough one...I'm not sure to be honest

    Hatton was an undefeated highly confident top 5 ranked P4Pder when Floyd finished him off.

    Floyd beat him first, Pacquiao destroyed him in 2 rounds at Hatton's best weight.

    I'd put them close to equal.

    If you followed boxing, Floyd's win over Hatton was no surprise. Although I thought Manny would probably beat him, I wasn't totally sure like I was for Floyd/Hatton. Seriously, if you picked Hatton over Floyd, boxing probably isn't your sport.

    So I'd go with Manny, slightly. Slightly, because Floyd beat Hatton when he was considered an elite fighter. A lot of the shine was gone by the time he fought Pacquiao.

    Hatton was coming off stoppage victories of Castillo, Tszyu (and Maussa gaffaw gaffaw). He was on a roll.

    After Mayweather he (and his chin) finally realized that he wasn't indestructible.

    Weight was irrelevant, neither of them came in at more than they would have come in if the fight had been at 140. It just saved both fighters cutting that much more water.

    Much like every other name on Pacquiao's resume post 130, Hatton was not the same fighter by the time Pac got to him.

    Hatton's undefeated status (in over 40 fights) plus stoppage wins over Tszyu and Castillo rightfully earned him that status IMO...

    We could say that Duran was never a Welterweight ever when Leonard beat him in the re. Shit...there's a bigger natural size difference between Leonard and Duran than with Floyd and Hatton.

    This is where I'm at.

    Had they happened in reverse order, Pac's win would take this by a mile. As it was, the win itself was more relevant given what was at stake and its aftermath.

    But because Floyd got to him first, it kind of evens up the score a bit.
