Obviously Godfather III was his most critically acclaimed role, but I would pick 'Internal Affairs'. I thought he and Richard Gere were great opposite each other. You actually picked my other favorite.
The Untouchables. Sure, it was historically about as accurate as Felix Trinidad against Winky Wright, but it was very entertaining.
In order Internal Affairs Godfather III TTDIDWYD City Island Nightfalls In Manhattan Black Rain Untouchables He also had a Great small role in Stand and Deliver
Always liked this movie. Treat Williams was hilarious in this and Christopher Walken was his usual weird self.
I was surprised GF didn't start this thread. :nana: Internal Affairs top of the table for sure. A very good film. I liked him in Black Rain and the Untouchables also though he was underused in the latter.
^^^Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead It was labeled a Pulp Fiction rip off, but it's actually a well made movie.
Easily "Internal Affairs". It was one of Gere's greatest roles to. Things In Denver was a great movie to. Not sure if I remember Garcia's performance standing out though. Treat Williams and Christopher Lloyd are the two I remember the most.
Nah Garcia was great in that role. Walkin and Bucemi were also good in it. It was definitely one of Garcia's best roles. Garcia was up for the role of Mr. Orange in Reservoir Dogs, but turned it down. I think he would have been terrific in it over Tim Roth.
I liked a lot of movies that Andy Garcia was in, but not necessarily the ones in which he starred - even though I really like him as an actor. As a leading role, my favorite movie of his by far was Internal Affairs. Also liked Black Rain, but didn't love it. Not sure I've even seen all of Things Of Denver. I agree with whomever listed When A Man Loves A Woman - good movie and a bit underrated considering its genre/targeted audience. Of movies in which he's appeared (supporting or even bit part) - in order: The Untouchables Dead Again Hoodlum Stand And Deliver He was very good in Godfather III - perhaps his very best role, but the movie itself was terrible.
I never knew that about the RD role. He would have been different that's for sure but I always thought that Roth did a commendable job in that role. I can't honestly see Garcia playing the role in the same fashion but I'm sure he would have been good in it.
Seriously? I'm sick now. I HATE Tim Roth in the movie. The ONLY bad part of the film was Mr. Orange. He would have been much better and it would have been more of a shock if he was the actor as opposed to Roth.
