  1. Good film.

I remember Kiefer Sutherland's (racist) character was talking to one of his redneck buddies:

"- Some clan coming down here to help us out

    - Skinheads and such?

    - No...Good, God-Fearing Clan!"

    :giggle:

And who can forget this exchange!

"- Were you aware that if convicted they could be freed in only ten years?

    - Yes sir I heard people say that, yes sir

    - Do you think that men who kidnap a child should be free in ten years?

    - No sir

    - Do you think that two men who rape a child should be free in ten years?

    - No sir

    - Do you think two men who hang a child should be free in ten years?

    - No sir

    - Well what do you think should happen to them, what would be a fair sentence?

    - [Objection your Honour]

    - Do you think they deserve to die Mr Hailey, answer the question!

    - [Karl Lee don't answer that!]

    - Do they deserve to DIE?

    - YES they deserve to die and I hope they burn in hell!!!!!"

You know this movie is great, and i hear Cadillac Lawyer could be just as good, but they play this fucking movie every week on TNT and im just getting tired of it.

I liked the movie, but for some reason consider this and Ghosts of Mississippi to be Mississippi Burning-lite.

Felt like it would've been even better with someone other than Matthew McConuaghey as the lead.

Not a McConuaghey fan at all, but he was great in this film.

on a sidenote this was also a brilliantly translated movie from the book. they didn't change much, did all the characters justice and didn't cut out any essential scenes, imo
