what difference does this make? we're adults...who cares what kids think about a movie
i could watch the original Karate Kid now and enjoy it...it is that awesome that it appeals to kids and also adults

anyway, any kid of basic intelligence would understand that this is the stupidest way to end a movie ever ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eMvzuxET7A :laugh11:
if your kid didn't laugh like hell and yell out "wtf?!?" when they saw that part then they're retarded

My point is that there are very few movies out there today where parents can take their kids and see a positive influence on screen. This was a nice movie with a nice message that i wasnt embarassed to take the kids too.

You base the whole movie off that kick. We had this debate before. You even claimed the kick couldnt be done. I proved otherwise.

You showed vids of guys doing similar things in practice without an opponent. Not the same at all.

THat wasnt the point of the argument tho. There are many things we see in movies that cant happen in real life. I dont think that kick is one of them, but im just saying.

All of these are kicks. Its not impossible to land on someone.

So U're BITCHING about the Way the Karate Kid Remake Ended, yet U're FINE w/the Original???...A FRAIL Kid w/ZERO Athletic Ability All of a Sudden Takes Out an Entire School of Black Belts, by Simply Learning to Wax a Man's Car, Sand his Deck & Paint his Fence/House???...

    Yeah, OK...

The original Karate Kid ended with Johnny walking face-first into Daniel's crane kick, after Daniel beats a bunch of more experienced opponents who run into Daniel aimlessly and with no defense. The 2nd one ended with Daniel doing some stupid swinging thing on Chozen (who was a bad-ass and awesome villain BTW) and then that stupid "honk" thing on his nose. The 3rd Karate Kid ended with Daniel suddenly getting a boost of confidence after a 10 second pep-talk from Mr. Miyagi and Barnes hesitating because Daniel was doing some form that resembled The Robot.

What was so bad about the ending in the 2010 Karate Kid, when taking the other ones into account? The endings are always ridiculous.

Yup. Plus johnny hesitated too. Its like he fucked up the timing and had to double pump his attack to land it.

Two problems I had with this movie was that it was way to fuckin long. I thought I was watching Lawerence of Arabia for a second. It should have been at least 30 minutes less.

Also, the love interests scenes were silly. He looked and was actually alittle to young to be taken seriously when it came to a love interest. They should have strictly made them just friends, and avoided that silly kiss, and dance off scene.

Both valid points right there. But that damn jaden looks 8 but he is like 14.

  20. I agree on Chozen: BADASS villain. In fact...I think I may have to purchase that film. Chozen>>Johnny. No way Daniel could have even been competitive with Chozen let alone beaten him. No amount of "drum technique" could have beaten Chozen.

I just don't see myself watching KK 2010! Some young punk with corn rows??? No thanks. Will Smith should have cut his son's hair for that role.

It Actually HELPED in Making Jaden a "Fish Out of Water"...Black Kid in Asia, Breakdancing, Rocking Cornrows...Besides That, Jaden have Probably Looked even YOUNGER w/Out Them...

REED's Rewatched it Tons of Times...1 Aspect of the 2 Flicks that's Going UNspoken is the Superior CHOREOGRAPHY in the Remake...The Training Sequences in the Remake SHIT on those from the Original...Jaden is Much More FLUID & ATHLETIC than even a Young Adult Ralph Macchio was...

To Each his Own, but REED Came Away IMPRESSED by the Little Motherfucker...

It wasnt Jayden. It was the movie. He does have a ton of charisma, and he's good looking (obviously coming from two good looking parents), and he has the Smith name.... so he's destined to be a mega star one day.

How do U Figure???...On the Surface, BOTH Seem to B Pretty SILLY Ways of Being Introduced to Martial Arts...Again, BOTH Seem Silly...Yet U're ONLY BITCHING about the Karate Kid Remake in this Thread, when the Original was just as IMPLAUSIBLE @ Times...

Much more than the remake. At least the remake gave jayden some background in Gymnatics. In real life, gymnist make great martial artist.

  27. The Original Daniel Laruso didn't need gymnastics...shiiiiiiiit! He had the Magical Mr Miyagi of "Miyagi-Do Karate"!! :bears:

  28. REEDsART

    agREED...

They Gave him the Gymnastics Background, he had the Fluidity of Being a Breakdancer & he Also Spoke of Being Athletic, which was ILLUSTRATED During the Training Sequences...Jaden Simply Brought MORE to the Fray than Ralph Macchio Did...& Though Probably 10-15 Years YOUNGER than Ralph Macchio was During the Original, Jaden was Actually MORE BELIEVABLE as a Martial Artist (Despite the Ridiculous Reverse Flip Kick @ the Very End)...

The Training Sequences & Fight Scenes of the Remake SHIT on those of the Original...Due to Jackie Chan, No Doubt...
