True, but he could be doing BECAUSE he is up and not hurt. Basically saying it because now its his turn. Leroy could in turn view him as unbeatable, therefor the master. And thus having the glow.

    IMO of course.

The script is modernized. Apparently. Bruce Lee wont be in the script. The RZA is involved in it.

One The Last Dragon front, RZA confirmed that he and Samuel L. Jackson had joined the project as producers and would also star in it, as first announced last October. On this project, though, RZA says he read the script and thought it needed some work so he have gave writer Dallas Jackson some books and notes to help him out and to modernize it since Bruce Lee isn't as well known as he was back in the 80's.
"There's been a new script out already, but to me, they didn't nail it, so I sent the writer some books he should read, and I gave him a few pages. I'm not the writer, but I helped him out, gave him five pages of information, sent him some books so he could really make a story that'd resonate with today’s times for The Last Dragon. But I want to keep the martial-art integrity, parts that the first one may have lost, because the other guy was in love with Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee is still the master, still the greatest, but maybe his popularity in cinema is not the same as it was in the '80s, because in the '80s, you were still getting Bruce Lee releases."
Is he saying that he wants to pull out all of the "Bruce Lee-ness" of the original Last Dragon? Yes and no. "Bruce Lee is definitely timeless, but at the same time, the integrity of his martial art may not be as widely known now as it was then." Obviously that can be argued, but I'll let RZA and Jackson (both of them) work this out, rather than complain about whether they should be contemporizing it or not. While RZA doesn't say either of these are shooting anytime soon, it at least sounds like they're progressing well, and that's what counts the most. They'll move into production when the time is right. And we'll keep you updated on both!

The "Last Dragon" is Part of the FABRIC of REED's Upbringing & As Such, it's a Film that he Wants Handled CAREFULLY...To Say the Least, this is a DISAPPOINTING Beginning, Thus Faaaaaaar....

Casting Samuel L. is Purely a FINANCIAL Move...Physically, he CAN'T Pull Off Sho Nuff...Bruce Lee is a Martial Arts ICON...He's NO LESS Relevant Today, in the Martial Arts World, than Muhammad Ali Is Today, in the Boxing World...RZA CAN'T Even Articulate IF Bruce Lee will Play an Integral Part in this Movie Or Not, which DISTURBS REED:lol:...Does RZA OWN the Rights to the Remake or Something???...Moreso, REED Can't Fathom a SINGLE Role from the Original that RZA would B FIT to Play...Yet Having Said That, he'd Even B a BETTER Fit for Sho Nuff, than Samuel L...

If Anything, Bruce Lee is even MORE of a MYTHICAL Figure than he was when the Original was Made, so it'd B Even EASIER to Sell him as Bruce LeRoy's IDOL...Hell, if there's NO Bruce Lee, U CAN'T Even NAME the Lead Character "Bruce LeRoy"...

From the OUTSET, this Shit is ALREADY a MESS...REED Actually Went to College to Study Radio/Television/Film, but LIFE & CIRCUMSTANCES Prevented that from Coming to FRUITION...It WOULDN'T B Hard to Do a SUCCESSFUL Remake, but REED is ALREADY Fearful that RZA is Fucking this Shit Up....

Rza wont be in the movie. He is producer. RZA is very good. But it seems he isnt trying to make a cult classic like the original.

RZA is very involved in the film instrustry right now. He is directing a big time martial arts movie right now.

I didnt see his name in the credits of the new dragon movie that is why i didnt think he was in it. Maybe he is.

Its too much too teach. They arent going to waste time on his bitch ass. teach him acting and Martial arts? Nah. Plus leroy is suppose to have no rhythm. No swag.

  19. Erratic

    Erratic "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Jason "George Costanza" Alexander would be a good choice for Eddie Arcanian.

Busta Rhymes as Sho Nuff, he even had a little segment in one of his videos where he was Sho.

  20. Jason Alexander is a good choice...if you want to get the exact look. But with the Eddie archadian character I don't think the look is as important. As such...kevin Spacey would bring something better to that role IMO.

  21. I tend to think that Samuel L Jackson is a good choice for Sho...even though he's older.

yeah no. and jason alexander is about 300 pounds.

    of course you can :kidcool:

  29. Casting Arcadian isn't that important in this film anyway IMO. Any crazy zany bad guy would do.

Leroy, Laura and Sho Nuff are what the Film hinges on!

Laura's role is less signifant than Arcadian. Anyone one can play her.
