Only if Shane turns up SHOT. Apart from De la Hoya, who might as well have skipped training camp and just took a month long hunger strike for Latino immigrant rights, Pac's not beaten the under 10.5 spread in any welterweight fight. The chances of him stopping a guy who's never been KOd in 55 odd fights within 7 seem pretty low.

I mean, Shane is old, so you never know, but I'd sure be surprised.

I'm a little worried too for pac, early in the fight, if shane lands one or more of those looping rights. I have to admit i didn't see the mosley/mora fight and am not sure whether shane wobbled/hurt mora at all?

Pac has shown us tho that he can take a punch from a bigger guy, but i actually can't recall pac taking a very clean, very hard shot right on the chin, and i mean a very clean, very hard shot that comes from right in range, right on the button - vs DLH, vs hatton, vs cotto, vs clottey, vs margarito, did pac take one of these shots i am referring to?
If shane does manage this, it will be extremely interesting to see how manny responds. Will he respond as well as floyd if it happens... we shall see, we could possibly see manny taste the canvas for the first time in years.

I'm not saying it'll happen, but my instinct says that if Manny gets hurt as bad as Floyd did (twice), he won't have the same ability to clinch, smother and spoil as Floyd did. He'll mainly run & fight back, which definitely won't defuse things the way Floyd did.

Well I have no information what Mosley is doing in his preparation. If he shows up in Mayweather form I don´t expect this to go the distance, but he might have some vitamines up his sleeve.

I think Manny wins via KO in the 10th!

I think it will be a damn good fight until Shane takes too many punches and Nazim throws in his favorite towel.

@OscarDeLaHoya: I sure hope the fight this weekend does well I'm crossing my fingers because I heard the ratings were horrible on CBS

Shane will land some looping right hands that gets Manny's attention, but Manny will do his "I'm okay, hands up" thing and then make Shane's head look like a bobble-doll with straight left hands. After awhile, Mosley will look confused and frustrated from all the clean quick punches he's absorbing.

Nazim stops it after the 9th.

Shane is old, inactive, and took a beating against Floyd Jr.

I expect Manny to stop him, and then I expect all the Pactards on this forum to say "SEE!! MANNY BEAT HIM BETTER THAN FLOYD DID," conveniently ignoring that Manny always beats opponents "better" after Floyd kicks the shit out of them first. The exception being Marquez, of course, who beat Manny and got shut out 12-0 by Floyd.

Pac can't defuse or frustrate Mosley the way Floyd did from the 4th onward, though. So he's not gonna have the same platform to pursue an aggressive strategy & walk Shane down, IMO. I don't expect Pac to be able to bring the kind of aggression and volume he did against Margarito or Clottey or even Cotto if that's what you're visualizing because Shane is just a far more threatening puncher. I think we'll see Pac at his most circumspect for at least the first half of this fight. Unless Shane slows down allot in the 2nd half, I don't think we'll see him getting stopped. I expect to see Pac throwing 50-60 shots a round tops here, at least through the first half of the fight.

We'll see though, it's just an opinion I've pulled out my ass.

Since you're giving JMM a win he never actually got, do you also have a loss on Floyd resume to JLC?

You're acting like Floyd gave Mosley the beating of his life. lol I guess Floyd is Tito Trinidad now, he ruins fighters with his ridiculous power and the savage beating he deals out.

Floyd fans are a fucking stupid bunch.

Mosley looked discouraged as hell against Floyd. He remembered why his tooth hurt all them years ago

Oh so being discouraged by a younger quicker guy means Mayweather ruined him. Got it.

Why are Mayweather fans so fucking defensive about everything? Shouldn't mayweather's career speak for itself? Why does he need defending?

LG, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and saying even you don't believe that, you must be trolling.

Neither Mosley or Marquez Vs Floyd even vaguely resembled "beatings".

A beating is Pacman against Plasterito. Floyd Vs Shane was simply a schooling, Mosley took minimal damage.

Why is it that if anyone says anything about Mayweather they automatically have to be a Pac fan? Can there be nothing in the middle?

If I say something about mayweather on this forum, It's a guarantee someone will come back with something about Pac, as if that means anything to me or has anything to do with Mayweather.

It's not often that simple Hut.

Mosley is the second biggest, and TOUGHEST of any Pacquiao opponent.

He's also never been stopped, so logically, Pacquiao aint gunna stop him. But I have a feeling he will for some reason.

For starters, he's not going to get on his bike like Cotto. He might stop trying to win at some point, but he won't run away. He'll be right there for Pacquiao to hit.

And although he's tough as fuck and has never been stopped, he'll also be hit by Pacquiao more than he's ever been hit before, and once he's a bit hurt/tired, he won't be able to see the punches coming as well.

It kinda depends on Pacquiao too. He seems to like Shane, I guess there's some chance he feels sorry for him at some point and turns it into more of a sparring session.

The stoppage, to me, will really come down to how brave Mosley's corner/the ref is.

This shit is going to get violent in the second half.

I dont see how Manny Pac can survive the right hand that almost put PBF out.

These are definitely the reasons that open up the possibility of a stoppage late on, for sure. I just seem to have more regard for Shane's power than anyone else does and I think it'll give Pac allot of pause for thought. And if Margarito, who was right there to be hit can survive, I think Shane (with his much more threateing arsenal in terms of being able to do something out of nothing) most likely will too.

If Pac stops him in the last 3 rounds I won't be very surprised. I certainly expect Shane to be taking a beating by then. If it happens as early as the 7th I'll have to hold my hands up and say I didn't see it coming at all.

If anyones getting stopped in the early to middle rounds it's as or more likely to be Pac in my book.
