Rose was a beautiful fighter to watch as he had a nice standup style. He was tough and talented, and I think would have matched up very well with both Rafael Marquez and Israel Vasquez. Rose would have been an international media Superstar if he was fighting in present times. He was a talented entertainer as well and the most famous athlete during his halcyon days in his native Australia. He came quickly and went quickly, but for a few years his star was shining as one of the brightest in the sport of boxing. R.I.P. Brave Champion

If you don't believe in God, spiritual world or an afterlife why say RIP? From your position it's a little redundant isn't it?

    Just curious...

umm, because Rest In Peace is a traditional nod to the recently expired?

hell, Rest In Peace could mean that I hope no one digs his corpse up

either way, its simply a common saying showing respect to someone who has just died

do you question the religious status of every person who says "bless you" when someone sneezes?

As an agnostic, I don't know when someone last questioned me for saying, "My God," "God Almighty," etc. to express various reactions. Such phrases are as much societal as they are religious at this stage.

do you accept Jesus Of Nazareth as your only Lord and Savior??? because if you don't, then you aren't allowed to use a traditional salutation that had strict religious significance 300 years ago:warning:
