Haven't seen Zab fight lately but honestly wouldn't be shocked to see him beat Mosley who's a shadow of his shadow's former self.
Well he's one of the 3 reported opponents Arum has lined up for Pacquiao so this should mean it's an upgrade to facing Mosley.
The weight class has nothing to do with it. He said Zab's barely been getting by scrubs and my point is Mosley didn't get by the scrubby Mora either. So it's probably closer to a toss up than anything. Can Zab at least pull the trigger and put some zip on his punches because if so he has Mosley beat in that department.
It absolutely has something to do with it. Struggling with a big scrub is far different to struggling with a small scrub. Mora would beat the small scrubs Zab has been struggling with, and chances are, Zab would have a much bigger struggle against a middleweight pound scrub than a 140 pound scrub. Afterall this is not a P4P discussion, this is a direct comparison of Zab and Shane.
I see the point you're trying to make and admittedly it is kind of a good one but I still disagree. The reason is because Mosley often fights at 154 so I'd say he's almost as comfortable fighting there as Zab is at 140. Even then the main problems Mosley had weren't with Mora's power or strength. Mosley's biggest problems was he couldn't pull the trigger or put any zip on his punches, plus he had no stamina. I'm not saying Zab is any worse or better than Mosley because I didn't see his last few fights but I am saying the argument about not being able to finish off scrubs doesn't end with Judah alone. Mosley is not even close to being a top 20 welter weight right now and even if you put him in with a 147lb scrub I could see him struggling. He wouldn't stand a chance against Berto or Cintron. He got his check, he needs to retire now.
Pacquiao is stepping it up if he faces judah, a guy mayweather jr whipped several years ago instead of one fight ago
