for once, I might actually buy into Moorer being too much for someone at 175... I could see Bernard surviving, but I have trouble imagining him winning still, Moorer is the most overrated 175 pounder ever to breathe
Hopkins beats him. Hopkins is too intelligent to lose to Moorer, but Moorer would certainly be a harder fight than Tarver was.
I can see a landslide of votes for Hopkins here, because he has retained his chin at 175 & is a smart, crafty fighter against what was a fairly green, inexperienced young exhuberant. Still, I'm hesitant to pick either man. Moorer's youthful zeal, size, & power would not be welcomed by Hopkins, & nor, in turn, would Hopkins' craftiness & smarts. They would be put to good use on a sometimes-wild Moorer. It's a tough fight to predict. I'd be keenly interested to see what happens the first time Moorer lands big (& follows it up) on Hopkins' sturdy whiskers.
Good post. It's very strange with Moorer. In many cases it seems easier to spectulate about guys who never even fought in a particular weight class than it is judging Moorer that did. A true wildcard. If i had to bet money i'll take Bernard by decision though.
this is where I'm at. Moorer's knockout streak comes to an end, but still leaves undefeated. Meanwhile, Bernard cries robbery and calls Moorer an Uncle Tom
