For me it is the totality of the case against him and how he has responded to it, rather than the "whispers" from Leonard "Egregious" Ellerbe or others.

I really do not think the guy does steroids, and I could care less about Manny either way.

Joe Rein knows him very well and he says Manny absolutely does not do drugs of any kind, so I will accept his word.

Agreed. The way they handled this situation was almost comical.

A good challenge for somebody would be to take every alarming signal from the start in this case,.. and explain how it's all alligned to a 'clean' conclusion, rather than the obvious conclusion.

If there is any other athlete I would compare Pacquiao to,.. it'd be Alistair Overeem in MMA,... this little guy also 'jumped up in weight' ....

....and you should fucken see him now...

Not really comparable. Overeem looks like a joke comic strip about steroids or something, his physique is ridiculous

I hadn't seen Overeem for years,.. he used to be a ganguly frail light-heavyweight,...

I said to people in the MMA forum,.. Fedor looked like shit against Rogers,.. and people claimed it was because of Rogers immense physical strength, Fedor had never fought anybody as strong as Rodgers,... so anyway,.. I decide to watch Rogers vs Overeem,... and out comes Alistair,.. the size of the statue of liberty,.. .................................................WTF!............................. .. AND... he manhandles the incredibly strong Rogers like he was a ragdoll... tossed his arse around with incredible ease..

It does remind me of a certain fighter,..jumping up 3 weight divisions quickly and becoming faster than ever before, hitting harder than ever before, having more stamina than ever before,..and not only that,.. he's superior to any other welterweight in every category,.. Speed, Stamina, power and according to Cotto and Mosely,.. strength aswell....

What's so troubling to me is the fact, that since the birth of boxing itself, through so many years and thousands of fighters having laced their fists, NOBODY, not even the GREAT ONES, that have gone up to heavier weight-classes, have gained such advantages as Manny. The common sense dictates that as you move up, you will lose speed and your power won't have the same effect as before.

Jimmy McLarnin started at 112 and won the 147 crown with a KO1. Sam Langfrod began at 135 and KO'd HOF heavyweights. Mickey Walker began at lightweight and KO'd ranked heavies. George Carpentier fought in every division that existed. Heavyweights at that time were probably 180 to 190 lbs.

this is a very good post.

only thing i would add is this applies to ALL world champion athletes...not just the best one. people are acting as if it is more likely that manny pacquiao is using steroids than floyd mayweather...when it fact it is very likely they both use steroids.

i know that 90% of junior college wrestlers, gym rats, and unknown mma bums are all on the sauce...why exactly wouldnt a kobe, lebron, pacquiao, etc.??

Manny was like 16-17 then, and guess what? Floyd weighed close to the same when he was that age. There is nothing ridiculous about Manny gaining weight.

When most guys move up so much they usually lose speed or power. Manny seems to get more muscle, cardio, speed and power.

I'd say the primary difference is that Floyd was a big junior lightweight when he turned pro, and fought at that weight until he couldn't make it anymore. Manny didn't move up to 130 until he was 27 years old, and looked small and outgunned against Erik Morales in his first fight there.

The thing which alarms me with Manny is how he's hurting and causing far more damage against bigger guys than he did against smaller guys.

he never hurt Morales, Barrera or marquez the way he hurt Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito or Mosley.

Save for Cotto and Hatton, the other guys were known for their chins and toughness. Granted, when you age and are closing in on being shot, punches hurt like they've never previously hurt.

    "however"

Manny's punches don't come off or even sound the same as they did when he was lighter. It simply doesn't make sense to me.

It's not unlike FloJo in the sense she was always a world class athlete then all of a sudden she becomes the fastest woman ever. Whatever Manny's doing, it's not natural. Not anymore than what Barry Bonds did. or like the surge Roger Clemmons had....same kinda thing.

yeah better technique that started right after David Diaz....

Mayweather is a bitch....but Pacquiao NOT wanting to take a few extra test going into the fight...is a big ? ....WHY NOT ? What is he afraid of?

Regardless Mayweather really doesn't want the fight...he could be all over the place..HBO, SHOWTIME, ESPN screaming and shouting that the fight will happen IF Pac takes the test.....but he is not doing that..if ASK he will say PAC needs to take the test...but if he really wanted the fight he would push the issue...BE all over the place calling Pacquiao a coward...getting on Pacquiao nerves, making it so every time Pacquiao is in a press conference or doing an interview the interviewer asked him...."Mayweather has been calling you out, saying you are a coward, a disgrace to all pinoy, you got a small dick, you bitch is fooling around with the chihuahua, talking about your 3rd and 4th born how you named them princess and queen, how you roid up bitch....wuz up Pac? What you gotta say about such allegations?

Well he is a SCARED of Pacquiao...if he wasn't he would be all over the place calling Pacquiao out, instead of his minions spreading rumors and talking shit...OR at the very least give in on the drug test...and go with the original 14-15 day cut off before the fight...

Shane Mosley never tested positive for a test either but we all know he used the clear and the creme. So if he was able to beat t he test what makes you think Manny ain't beating the out of date urine test? I'll Holla 5000

GREAT Point...Until Mosley's Grand Jury Testimony was ILLEGALLY LEAKED, there was LESS of a Reason to Suspect HIM of Juicing than Manny Pac...

Shane never failed a test...that's the purpose of designer drugs these days...to evade tests.

At this point, it takes a complete moron to get caught.

    Edit: posted this too soon.
