Fights where two guys might have been of roughly comparable ability (or at least have been able to beat a comparable number of common opponents) but where one guy just totally dominated the other for style reasons.

    Hearns-Duran
    Foreman-Frazier
    Jones-Toney
    Khan-Kotelnik
    Shavers-Norton

    etc

    You go.

(UGTBK, let's not turn this into a Duran thread please)

Fair one. Floyd was obviously way better but not TTTHHHAAAT much better.

That wasn't a style mismatch, it was a talent mismatch

If Floyd-Corrales and Jones-Toney fit, then so does this. There wasn't a big difference between their performances against common opposition

+1 on whoever called Tua vs Lewis.

Tua vs Lewis was sort of a high-grade version of Vitali vs Peter.

I guarantee you're wrong. That's a close fight either way, they both have the style to trouble the other.

I'm with Muzse. Pity that we'd probably never find out though.

Since when did you change your opinion? I've seen you say the EXACT same thing I just said.
I agree they probably won't fight.

You're right. I was once of that view.

Reason I've changed recently was due to the way Floyd fought Shane. Assuming he fights Pac the same way he wins fairly easily. Pac is notorious for not enjoying an aggressive counterpuncher behind a jab (think Morales and Marquez)...and Floyd is the best at this style when he uses it...and he tends to use it against fast fighters (Judah, Mosley).

Is there something that Mayweather isn't the best in your opinion?? If Mayweather fights Pacquiao the way he fought Mosley, that shit gets tap and he goes to sleep...Pac is not old ass Mosley or mental midget Judah..he is not going to stop throwing punches.

Mayweather will box and used the jab to keep Pacquiao at a distance...frustrate Pacquiao...by round 8-9 Pacquiao fundamentals will really breakdown and thats when Mayweather goes in for the kill.

Yup...prime Tyson would still have a lot of problem w/ that version of Lewis.

Lewis of the 90's IMO get KOTFO by prime Tyson...

You're a Mayweather hater, but I'll still respond.

Floyd doesn't have the fastest hands or the hardest punch. His chin is solid but not on Hagler level. Aside from that he IS he best at everything else.

If Floyd fights Pac that way he wins easily. Pac doesn't know what do to when someone fights him that way.

I'll just get it out of the way:

Tito could have KO'd Winky if he had 30 pound gloves
