Were we going to do a Fight of the Month club?

Didn't someone suggest something where each month we would pick a fight and all watch it and post some observations about it in a new thread? sounded like a great idea to me... anyone still interested in something like this?

I'd say so. At least it's probably the very first fight everyone will think of (except perhaps Chavez-Taylor I). If we're gonna do this monthly i dunno if it's best to kick it off with such a huge one. :dunno: Dunno.

How about Benvenutti-Griffith I? It's on youtube in colour, kicked off a classic trilogy, two all time greats, multiple knock downs & allot of people won't have seen it. :dunno:

Yeah, Im just throwing it out there. Any one that a fair number of people haven't seen lately. One with a contentious decision from the 60s or 70 (not involving Ali) thats on youtube would seem ideal, but my minds kinda blank.

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of Napoles-Griffith on dvd they could upload to somewhere? Purely for the benefit of the 'fight of the month club' of course :scared2:::

 

I did put the first one together but outside of a few guys saying they would contribute, nothing really came of it.

I was thinking about doing another one recently but the fights on YT are pretty limited to older stuff. I was going to do one for ODH v Trinidad but it's not on YT.

Was thinking about Hagler v Leonard for my next.

 

Hell fight of the week would be good at this rate.
