I don't think he has a glass chin Karl. I think he has an average chin. Nobody has ever stopped him for a 10 count, nobody. In the HW division, the one constant is punching power. We've seen guys with good chins get stopped- Frazier, Norton, Quarry, Holmes, Lewis, Louis, etc. If Haye wants to win this he would do well to study the tape of not Sanders-Wlad but Brock-Wlad. He will need to come in under the jab, and bang to the body, bring his braided hair and skull up into Wlads face, cause facial damage, and get back out. Wlad should start fast with a tattoo-jab, as Haye doesn't have the stamina or composure to go 12 anyways.
Vitali is right in that Haye combines fast hands with a decent degree of power, but he is not a one-hitta-quitta. Haye was babbling on about how he had Ruiz "out on his feet after 25 seconds" but he fails to tell us what happened next. 6 rounds later the fight was still going on. Ruiz, at 39 and with more miles on the clock than a Ryanair special, took a knockdown, then a few blows to the back of the skull to actually have Haye DOWN at the end of the first. Haye is going to fight Cagey, try to get in under Wlad, bang his ribs and try to land the big one upstairs. All Wlad has to do is be patient, not fall into cruise control like he did with Brock, and just wait. Hayes energy bar runs down regardless of whether he is getting hit or not. By the third round, if it has gone that far, Haye will be Fa-Fa'g it all over the place.
Wlad owned him hard in that interview it was almost painful to watch. You know you had a bad night at the office, when a foreigner outtalks you in his 3rd language. That is an even bigger upset than Haye winning the fight. Shake the Magic hand was hilarious.
Look at wlad's eyes, look how menacing he looks, compared to haye who's eyes tell me that he's trying to look composed and show no fear, but shows me plenty of it.
'No honestly....they GENUINELY don't like each other. No really, genuinely! They GENUINELY don't. We're not making it up, cross my heart. This is genuine.'
I do kinda wish Wlad would stop trying to be funny though, he's very limited and can't quite speak the language properly, it's embarrasing, and to have such a squeaky tweezle dee voice for a huge man makes it worse. In that sense, Wlad is definitely too soft to rap.
:: :: Its the accent. That Eastern-European attempt to sound American. They all end up sounding like that slut CharlieJames75 on youtube "Hello Guys Todays We Looks Up My Vaginas as I does strange Exercises with my fake tiddies" As for Haye being described by Gareth A Davies as a "Warrior" and then describing Wlad as a "Gentleman Boxer", yeah, OK, thats right. Haye is as middle-class as they come. He doesn't dig the English Weather, the English food, the English way of life, he won't live in England, cheats on his wife......the lad is not fooling anyone. He is K-Swiss not fucking Umbro.
"I'm as worried about whether he's going to show up as he is about whether I'm going to show up," Haye said. That's a pathetic statement
.. who does? You just raised him slightly in my estimation, I wouldn't have given him enough credit to be able to discern a dead sewer rat from filet mignon so does every single other married boxer. every single other married athlete in general, actually
Anybody who doesn't like something, and leaves it, has my approval. The problem with Haye is he rags on England as being a culinary, meteorological disaster-basket, and then poses with a Millwall scarf whilst telling everyone he is doing this for Britain. He can't have it both ways.
Tyson on Haye & the Klits, title is a bit misleading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma25di-eS48 @"Cris Ebola" I like how he diplomatically points out that the Klits are boring edit: At the very end, he discusses how he's a soccer fan and follows the Premier League. WTF? This does not compute.
Alot of Slavs, especially big Slavs have the craw vibrations of bullfrogs,.. it's the juice, rather than Hayden, that has deflated Wlad's balls,.. admit it. Wlad doesn't know how to shorten his punches, nor does he know how to counter-punch,... Vitali also doesn't 'quite' know how to shorten his punches,.. but he can throw combos, he can counter-punch, and he can massage the under plate of a jaw,.. Haye is no warrior, I agree,.. but he's a little more rubbery than the pale twins, who mirror the athletic exhibition of an erection caused by a spider-bite........ :crafty: want home-video proof?
Wlad has short punches that most thalidomides would be proud of. And his footwork would grace any ring.
Source, Boxingscene website By Chris LaBate WBA heavyweight David Haye is oozing with confidence as the unification fight with WBO/IBO/IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko nears. They clash on July 2 in Hamburg, Germany. Haye, also a promoter with his Hayemaker company, became very confident when he watched his star fighter, super middleweight George Groves, pull off an upset majority decision over heavy favorite James DeGale last Saturday in London. Haye and Groves are both trained by Adam Booth, and Haye says a similar plan will be used on Klitschko. "It’s gratifying to see the game plan Adam*had worked on with George work so well. We are planning the same thing for Klitschko. We have a strategy and we are going in there to implement it on July 2nd," Haye said to The Telegraph. ::::
Haye talking to the Telegraph? How very working-man of him. :: Oh....does Haye own Groves, just as matter of interest???
He does. Haye would be a fool to adopt Groves tactics AKA the Valuev plan because they won't work against someone with such a substantial height and reach advantage, and unlike Valuev, Wlad actually knows how to use these attributes effectively
Haye was wide open to the left hook against Valuev as he moved off the ropes to his own right. Valuev eventually threw it a few times but it was so slow :: If DeGale had a higher punch output he could have taken Groves out as the effort of the early rounds, not to mention the cuts and the headbutts finally started to wear Groves down a bit. Wlad can maintain pressure and move his hands more, which means Haye will get hit more. I still say Haye's best chance is to lay traps. He can't win a 12 round dance.
I think that are the correct tactics, make Wlad lead, move a lot, minimize the punch output and try to potshot Wlad with single jabs and lead rights. Ibragimov did it, and the whole fight stunk.
El, if he tries it in the same way he did vs Valuev it won't work, not if he wants to actually win rounds. By the way can you give me an update on Darmstadt please
Yes, and Wlad won a wider than wide decision, had had Ibragimov down and going, though no knockdown was called. Furthermore, Ibragimov has a superior ring IQ to that of Haye, and knows how to negate slippy situations.
Ah you had to ask, now I´ll probably jinx them. athetic: 1 SV Darmstadt 98 29 17 8 4 46:26 +20 59 2 Stuttgarter Kickers 29 17 6 6 53:27 +26 57 Last games SV Darmstadt 98 - FC Memmingen Stuttgarter Kickers - Wormatia Worms Worms has been the 3rd best team in the 2nd half of the season, so Stuttgart has the tougher match. Last week Darmstadt won there in the 88th minute, so they still control their own destiny. Win and they go up.
I don´t know, if he´ll win rounds. I´m just saying that is what I expect.Haye doesn´t have great stamina, so he can either try that or blow it all in the first three rounds and hope to land something.
