I NEVER EVER got into Eye of the Tiger....I mean I work out everyday and love listening to music when I do but never found that stuff motivating or appealing like most of others have....

I have to go with the original song that forced every sweatpants-wearing fatass in the free world to run up steps.

Its either Hearts On Fire or No Easy Way Out. I never cared for Eye Of The Tiger. I think it was just too over-played by the time I was old enough to be aware of it.

I love all the rocky songs personally and each one has a big affect on me in different ways. I'd say Getting stronger now has something that bit extra special to it.

    Good thread.

    "Burning Heart" - Survivor

The following is the best lyric in ANY Rocky song:

"In the warrior's code there's no surrender,
Though his body says stop, his spirit cries...never!!"

Gotta love Rocky :lol Agree with your choice Anthony.

That said, Im way too self conscious a soul to work out to a Rocky theme with a straight face. Id burst out laughing within a bar.

Yeah, I'd have to go with Going The Distance just because I remember watching the movies as a young kid/early teen and thinking how awesome it was: the whole aura, music, and movie experience. That theme is iconic to me.

    agREED...

It Makes U Wanna Go Work Out or Something, Doesn't It???:Ramonza:...

As a Child, REED DIDN'T Automatically KNOW that Rocky would WIN the RE w/Apollo, when News of the Sequel Surfaced...It was a Matchup that REED SERIOUSLY Pondered...But 1nce Rocky Chased Down that CHICKEN, it was a No Brainer Pick for REED...

"Eye of the Tiger" is a CLASSIC, Homey!!!!...Hell, the HIGH Point of Pac vs. Mosley was the Ringwalks, when Pac Had the Guy Singing "Eye of the Tiger" & Mosley had L.L. Cool J Doing "Momma Said Knock You Out"....

Despite How MUCH Shit REED has Been Talking about "Gays" & Whatnot, he has NO Qualms in Labeling this Song "Borderline ORGASMIC"...Probably NO OTHER Song in the History of Music OR Prizefighting is More CLOSELY ASSOCIATED w/the Sport of Boxing...

It's like Boxing's Version of the National Anthem...The Opening Intro ALONE Made REED INSTANTLY Grin from Ear to Ear...Simply Put, it's THE GREATEST Boxing Song EVER...

Right After, "Ya'll Musta Forgot", Of Course....
