Game of Thrones

I watch it and I am pretty engrossed with the whole show. First episode was tough to keep track of everyone but now it's all falling together. I like to watch each episode twice, catch everything and then catch the new one.

Very very good show. Have to say that Tyrian the Imp is my favourite character, along with Drogo and Denaryius Targaryen. Forgive any spelling errors on the names.

can't bring myself to call Sean Bean's character "Ned." I either call him Lord Stark or Boromir.

 

King Robert's whole family ought to be in therapy of some sort, :warning:

 

I haven't seen this show that Anthony is watching, sounds like something for little kids...

Love this show! Addicted. Got to grips with it now. Full of glorious naked, female bodies too. Yes!!!

 

Yeah i saw it too. The last two episodes have been top notch.

Anyone watching it? I'd like to hear how people who haven't read the book are receiving it.

 

Never read the book, so it doesn't matter a lick to me whether the show is faithful to the source material or not.

I think the show is great.

For the most part it is faithful to the book. It leaves stuff out only for brevity. There's been a couple minor things different but the major stuff is all the same. I agree, great show. I'm re-reading the books now.

 

I have only seen the first 4 episodes....but since I was doing other things while watching it...I haven't follow the story to closely...


I get the king travel NORTH to see that other dude w/ the sons/daughters wolfs pets...


What is the WALL/BORDER....that the bastard son and the midget are protecting/training..or whatever the fuck they are doing...

What is the story behind that dude who gave his sister for marriage to that berserker looking dude...?

 

The wall protects the 7 kingdoms of westeros from the undesirable people and things north of the wall (wildlings, others, scary monsters etc).

The blond guy and his sister are the last of the Targaryen, the last ruling family before the fat bastard took the iron throne from their father. They are in Essos, another continent than where the fat bastard is king. He is giving his sister to Khal Drogo so that he can secure the Khal's army to go back to Westeros and take the crown back.

 

Why was this moved to movies?

 

I'm hooked on this. Each episode gets better & better

 

7 Kingdoms of Westeros...are they under one KING or different kings?

Fat bastard KING is that the guy with the blond hair kind that got punk by the girl...? and whose wife is fucking some other dude..?

 

Episode 8 is the best.

 

The seven kingdoms have one king since being united, if I recall correctly during the Targaryen rule. I cannot say anything else about that without spoiling it.

The fat bastard (Robert) who was in the full monty is the king. He is from House Baratheon. He's got dark hair, drinks and fucks, leaving bastards all over the place.

His wife Cersei, the queen, is a Lannister - the richest family in the 7 kingdoms. She is fucking her own brother Jaime, the captain of the kings guard. They have another brother Tyrion, who is a dwarf. He is quick witted and gets on well with his brother jaime but not as much with his sister or father.

 

OKAY....cool....watching episode 4 now.....


and what is it with the SUMMER and WINTER shit....? They keep mentioning winter...

 

I'm watching...i'm on episode 5...BUT i still want to know....

 

Basically winter can last decades. It's seen as a bad time. Things awaken, etc.
