I think he will. He stood in there with Jardine even though he had the advantage in the wrestling there. Plus there's much to be said about Hamill, for the last 2-3 years completely neglecting wrestling training in favor of boxing.
In boxing you can clinch, hold, run. In wrestling, one person can LNP, doesnt mean they both are sitting there doing nothing. Fact is that wrestling requires every muscle in your body. Boxing doesnt. What do you think takes more energy? A Jab or a double leg take down?
I am having this argument with someone that has never wrestled. Wrestler for 5 minutes than comment. It makes no sense for you to have this discussion.
How many jabs are thrown per round compared to double leg takedowns? What an ridiculous comparison. Plus the amount of clinching in the average boxing match is way less than the amount of stalemate wrestling in MMA. And by the way, Nelson was gassed largely from standup tonight, not wrestling.
I have wrestled, just not against a trained wrestler. Shit, I've even wrestled for fun against a heavyweight boxer ::
Nelson was clearly gassed from all the grinding in the clinch..:: MWS you're talking nonsense right now.
GF is comparing jabs to double leg takedowns and I'm the one talking nonsense? Nelson was just as gassed from the standup by the way. You could see him visibly gassing from having to move around.
Something is up with Rampage's hand. No Hamil doesnt have great standup. Doesnt mean anything. He hasnt been knocked out cold before. Jackson looked very good tonight. Stuffing all of Hamil's takendowns and fucking him up with his standup.
Rampage looked so-so. He has a big problem of waiting. He waits too much for counter shots, doesn't jab or let his hands go often enough, and he doesn't mix things up enough to keep his opponents guessing.
