The kessler fight was even after a good few rounds until Joe took over, but was getting caught with some big rights

    What about Ward?

Ward & Bute would have every chance, especially Andre.

Of course. You think he can beat Joe?

    Great style matchup this.

Yeah, he'd have a good shot. Ward is certainly more man than Calzaghe, who never would have signed up for the Super 6 when he was Ward's age.

I'm still unsure about Bute. He needs to fight the top active guys before I can base a real opinion on him.

Ward would have a slim chance

I think Calzaghe would beat Bute pretty clearly.

Would anyone not give froch a decent chance?

Froch is good, but I take the Kessler fight as evidence that he's a class below Calzaghe.

I pick froch to beat kessler in a rematch tho.

Yea, I think early on froch will cause Joe problems, especially with his jab, but I can just see Joe overwhelming froch with his handspeed. I don't think Joe would knockdown froch tho.

If martinez moved up to 168, would he have troubled Joe?

    Joe didn't need a rematch.

Still, Ward is better than all these guys.

  16. Ward has the best chance. Young, prime African American with Skills. Calzaghe hasn't seen that kind before...

Calzaghe wouldn't fight him, that's for sure.

It's too bad Calzaghe waited until the very end of his career to ramp of his competition.

Ward would rough him up but I think lacks the power to discourage Joe too much and would be outworked in the end.

Froch would lose the majority of the rounds but has the best chance of actually hurting Calzaghe and possibly putting him down or out. Longshot though.

Martinez has the best chance to outbox Joe, but the weight might be too much for him.

    Can you imagine someone saying.

Calzaghe would have a great chance of beating ward. He is strong, quick and white.

who would be the first to call for this member to be banned?

Ward would easily have the best chance of beating Calzaghe, although I'd ultimately pick Joe to find a way to win.

Bute might be the best of the rest, but oddly enough I don't give him any chance at all. To me, he's Calzaghe-lite, although without the chronic hand injuries. I don't see Calzaghe having any problems whatsoever in that fight.

Froch and Johnson would have their moments and certainly make things rough and ugly. But rough and ugly doesn't always translate to effectiveness, and I see Joe solving that riddle more so than either fighter adapting to his Plan B.

As much as I like Martinez, I'm skeptical of his ability to perform at the top level beyond middleweight
