Which boxer do you watch the most from any decade?

    Hatton for me.

Leave aside what his out of gym and ring activities involved, it was what he achieved inside the ring that counted the most to me. I would tho have liked to have seen him not drink or eat as much when not training and had concentrated 100% on his profession, but obviously when he had his heart set on training, he lost shed loads of weight and was always in top condition for his fights.

He may not have been the most talented boxer, but he had heart, energy to burn, a real desire to win, plus he was not afraid to take on any opponent.

    Yours?

For me, Pryor is the most fun. In some ways, just a better version of Hatton, to my mind.

140 is one of the trickier divisions as for so many fighters it was a stepping stone to welter. Some didn't even bother with it at all.

If we're talking about guys that fought @ 140 long enough to make a serious impact at the one class i'd go with Pryor 1st and Chavez 2nd.

I only wish there was about 75% less clinching.

Pryor is good but his work is tainted by the mixed bottle allegations.

I like Tszyu. Artistic Execution. For sheer efficiency he is hard to beat.

    Didn't he only have about 3 fights @ 140?

Had some great scraps, too (Pintor, Hurtado, Hatton).

I assume we are talking career 140lbers, but I see Hut has nominated Whitaker. Thats a spanner in the works if we're considering stop-over fighters.

De La Hoya at 140 (IMO, his peak division) is also a tempting option.

Pryor .....hands down. No clinching and holding, just throwing over 100 shots a round and being able to be tagged himself....usually led to very fun fights to watch. At his absolute peak, .. as short as it was,... I give Pryor at least EVEN odds against anyone in history at 135-140. Shame drugs ended his career so short.

Pryor would be a long way short of even odds with Locche and Duran, for two.

Though marred by a degree of controversy, his fïght with Tszyu was an excellent clash which is never mentioned as being very watchable, yet it was.

As long as you give him credit for going after the best, it's cool.

Forget just 140, Aaron Pryor is on the very short list of fighters whose in-ring career I could watch over and over again

Yeah Pryor takes this easy, and Steve is right, Hatton was boring. Can't stand the wrestling, man, go watch UFC.
