I think the belly is actually one of his weapons. He definitely used it to his advantage in the Kimbo fight. Dude just laid his big belly on Kimbo and put him into the crucifix and Kimbo couldn't budge his big ass off.

Take away his belly and you're taking away one of his weapons.
