The first three movies were all great, & just about the only superhero movies I've ever given the time of day to (excepting a few of the Batman flicks), but after the spin-off of a few years ago, I can just smell half-baked capitalisation rearing its ugly & all-too-common head here. I'm gonna give it a miss --- though the dark girl with the butterfly wings held my interest during the ads

That is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz. I think her name is Zoe or Zoey. She is also in the TV show Californication.

Its a great movie, but it did feel like it was missing something. Everyone stayed after the credits and nothing happened.

NO wolverine, no cyclops, no storm. Havoc, Banshee and the other kids are no comparison...sorry.

The first two films, especially the 2nd were just too good. This is an acceptable prequel though. Very good in its own right. Good plot and good acting.

It doesn't matter what the movie didn't have in terms of characters. This movie was just an all around better movie. Better Script, better direction, better storyline, better graphics, etc. Everything about this movie is better than the others.

Better plot than the first one, I agree, but the combination of plot and EXECUTION of X2 far outweighs this one. FAR OUTWEIGHS. I suggest you watch X2 again. Plot direction, characters, action, drama. Not even close.

I seen it. First class is better all around. You just geeked out for x2. Which is fine, but that doesnt mean its better than First class.

Well, I wound up seeing it after all. It really was a great movie, I have to say. All four films have impressed me, they really have. The spin-off was a disappointment, but spin-offs almost always are.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.

One thing about this flick, it had far more violence than any of the previous films. Which is a good thing, IMO. I don't like gratuitous violence for the sake of it (Quentin Tarantino's specialty for example)...but it worked in this type of film. It wasn't a kids film at all. The way Magneto dealt with Sebastian shaw at the end, for example, was hardcore.

What did you think about Wolverine Dropping the F Bomb? Many people laughed, but i heard some gasps. Especially from this mother who was with her two kids.

PG-13 movies usually get to use one F-bomb per film, and most of them sneak it in somewhere.

    I think it's kind of funny. One "Fuck" = PG-13, Two "Fucks" = R.

Nah i understand. But the other x-men movies didnt do it. In fact, its rare to find them in Comic book movies. Unless its blade or something else

In fairness, while it may not've been strictly necessary, it was undeniably consistent with the character.

It ain't gonna kill a couple kids to hear the word they inevitably will elsewhere anyway.

I remember when I was a kid, "Beastmaster" and "Sheena - Queen of the Jungle" were both PG and both had some nice Tanya Roberts nudity in it.

Over the course of a few days, I decided to watch the original three flicks, none of which Id seen in a few years. I grade them as follows, with all three getting a thumbs-up...

    1. X-4
    2. X-3
    3. X-2
    4. X-1

Franchise got stronger as it progressed. Mystique's power still is the most desirable of them all, I think.

    Wow!

    You'd rate X3 over X1 and X2? :jaw:

You're the most respected boxing commentator on the site but when it comes to being a movie critic I think you just lost some credibility.

I would have fun with Mystique's power fo sho!! Agree with you there. But gimme Magneto's power if I had to choose (although Prof X's power is actually the best)
