His chin is average and his defence is suspect and is probably on something but I love how he sickened a lot of the media and I think he would have dropped and stopped Joe Louis" how the fuck is that "nut-hugging"???? I might be wrong about Louis but that's nothing new, most people here in a prediction thread cannot pick a winner with any consistency.

None of the Floyd fans have him decisioning LaMotta or stopping Ray Robinson. They don't have him down as the best Lightweight of all time.

Lots of hype being tossed around here as if there was some sort of kite being flown to get the guy prematurely inducted into the HoF.

You have Floyd mayweather giving Marvin Hagler A tough fight and Mike Spinks squeaking by on a decision against Bernard Hopkins ... Both positions are well deserving of ridicule

Floyd of 2007 would have given Marvin of 1987 a hard fight. Wouldn't have beaten him, but Floyd would be making him look stupid for parts of it. Marvin would have been too big and hard for Floyd but there is no reason why a prime Floyd couldn't have done OK against that version of Hagler.

Prime Mike Spinks would kick the shit out of Hopkins so badly, that Hopkins wouldn't need a casket, a matchbox would suffice.

The difference, of course, is that cdogg discusses Whitaker objectively and sticks to the facts. On the other hand, you...not so much when it comes to your favorites. You are not anywhere near objective and will say any number of ridiculous things in order to inflate the status of a fighter you are a fan of and the opposite for a fighter you perceive as a rival.

Sly takes things a step too far with his claims but I don't see any reason why anyone should be apologetic for loving a certain fighter. Fuck it most people who buy a PPV only buy it as they have a vested interest in either fighter.

I was never a Roy Jones fan, but even I was a Roy "Nuthugger" in that I was legitimately in awe of his hand speed. The 1-2 he dropped Reggie Johnson with was ridiculous, and I wasn't even a fan.
