Alvarez vs. Cotto makes more sense than Martinez or Chavez vs. Cotto.

If we're supposed to consider Martinez the Man at MW then shouldn't he start fighting middleweights? Tall Paul, Dzinziruk and Cotto are not middleweights.

Alvarez vs. JCC makes the most sense.

I'd pick Cotto, mindless bully-fighters like Alvarez get popped relatively often.

Though Naturally BIGGER, Alvarez has Alot of PHYSICAL Similarities to Cotto...More than a Few STYLISTICALLY, as Well...Cotto Would Probably Pick Alvarez APART in Route to a UD or Late KO, but it'd B a Fun Fight While it Lasted...

I don't care about Cotto anymore and I can't really put my finger on why.

    Allow my finger.

I think its because despite how good Cotto is, he still will never be anything more. There is no more improving. He isnt going to beat Pac and he isnt going to beat Mayweather. So what is there to look forward to? He is basically now a gatekeeper.

Forigve me if perhaps this isnt the case.

    Seriously?

Cotto just moved to junior middleweight and now he's catching flak for not fighting the top middleweight in the World?

    How does that make sense?

In addition to what Anthony said, I think his complete lack of emotion is also part of the reason why it's hard to get into Cotto. It's hard to get invested in a guy who looks bored himself with the sport.

It seems with Cotto that it's a job much more than a passion.

Floyd prefer to ignore a challenge from the middleweight CHAMPION....who is willing to come down to 154 to fight.....

2nd best Welter in the world vs. The Best middleweight in the world.....=$$$ MONEY.....

Always have to bring Floyd up:atu:

Martinez is talking shit about Cotto for turning him down to fight a shot Mayorga instead. He ran off of HBO in the process.

    agREED...

He's like an ELITE LEVEL "Gatekeeper", Meaning He's the LITMUS TEST for Who's Elite & Who ISN'T...But Like U Said, Cotto is Already PAST his Prime...Moreso, Arum is PROTECTING him a Bit, These Days...He Won a Jr. Middle Title vs. a NON Threat & He'll Likely Get a Shot @ Chavez Jr.'s Middleweight Title, when the TIMING is Right...

The RE w/Margarita would've Been Nice, but Doesn't Seem Likely Now...Which Leaves Cotto in LIMBO Somewhat...

Floyd shouldn't catch flak for not fighting Martinez and neither should any other welterweight. Martinez needs to stop picking on the small guys and instead try getting into the mix at 168. There are a lot of good fights for him there.

How about Arthur Abraham at 160? Isn't he done with the Super Six now? Sure he's coming off a couple of losses, but those were at SMW where he probably didn't really belong in the first place.

He's not a Middleweight either shit for brains, yet you insist on calling him a dog because he won't fight the best middleweight on the planet.

Last I heard 154 was the JMW limit. Anything over that and up to 160 is Middleweight. If he's willing to fight at 155 then why not 154?

Just last April Martinez was appealing the WBC about them stripping him of his MW title. Now he wants to be an inbetweener and make up weight classes?

You can't have it both ways.

Cotto should be able to win considering Margaritos health and poor recent form.
