"I've noticed he's been making a big effort with the charm," Haye told BBC Sport, "going beyond the call of duty trying to be everyone's friend.

"But none of that will help him. It won't matter how intelligent he is, the 18 languages won't help him either. Who cares about all of that? The best fighter wins.

"He's been knocked down in the past, but whether or not he's chinny I'll find out. If he is, he'll come unstuck pretty soon.

"I guarantee that I will land on his chin at some stage of the fight and he won't know what happened to him.

"I'll look to stick one on him as early as possible, let him know the power's there. He's going to get punished and hurt."

    *************

That's good. I like that bit about the 18 languages. Shows you what branch of the tree this guy swings out of. He's a punk and he's getting hurt and he knows it. Oddly enough, he had nothing to say to Wlad when Wlad was in London. Wouldn't sit in the same room as him. Wouldn't shake the Magic Hand.

I hope Wlad is in clinical mood on the evening. I hope he rolls it all out like did vs Mercer, every punch in the book. Then I hope he get's Haye in a special forces headlock and snaps his neck, leaving Adam Booth a widow.

Despite me not being the greatest fan of Haye, he is british and I shall be rooting for the upset. I am SOOOOOOO excited bout this one.

I think Haye has set himself up big if he wins, but has created a massive chasm in the event that he loses.

It could set British Boxing back as much if he loses as it would progress it if he won.

Personally, I think he is going to get his head kicked in and a lot of the hype is not dissimilar to that when Hatton was fighting Mayweather and Pacquaio.

I've been watching a lot of Haye's fights with the commentary down. He's wide open. I think he is going to run in this one, lean to his right and try to cock his own right and hope he catches Wlad coming in.

Haye can't jab, he has nothing to offset Wlad's rhythm, easy fight for Wlad

We'll see if he feels the same way after the fight is over. I can't see him winning it. There's zero chance Klitschko shows up in anything less than top-shape & a killer mindset (in terms of winning, as Klitschko has little in the way of a true killer's approach, though this fight may bring it out), & under those conditions, I'd be very surprised to see Haye pull it off.

Still, whether good or bad for the division, it will certainly be more interesting at Heavyweight if Klitschko comes off second-best on the night.

Wlad is ready to be taken IMO. 35 years old, not been tested for years, gotten very comfortable and hasn't been chin checked since Brewster in 2004. Haye has a good chance if he doesn't freeze up and comes with some real conviction.

Thats the common line and I disagree with it. Haye, for openers, says he won't fight Vitali and figures to retire in October with no rematch either way.

What people really mean is they want to see this big dumb Russian off his perch.

Where else is Wlad supposed to display killer instinct, if not in the ring? At breakfast?? Over brunch??? During sex???

Well, of course you disagree with it. I'd expect nothing less

All jokes aside, it would be more interesting, at least in the instant. Klitschko jabbing his head off for twelve rounds & shutting him out of the contest? I'll take Haye KO'ing him, & the fall-out thereafter, any day of the week. I don't want to see him knocked off per se (Heaven knows, I've heard enough bullshit about Vitali being the better brother to this stage without an upset furthering that far-fetched myth), but it just would breathe some fire into the weightclass. I doubt you'll find many who disagree with me who aren't K-Brother fans, but you're welcome to try.

I don't know about this one. Haye comes off as a major dufus, but I still can't get over those pics, where the Klits basically butt-fuck each other. Now, I happen to think that two consenting adults should do whatever they damn please in the bed, but still.....incest? c'mon, people.....

what esle is he gonna say? you think he actually hates the Klit brothers? of course not. But it's refreshing to see somebody who will not go in there already defeated and scared like most of their recent oponents.

Haye put himself in a position to look really good or really bad. That's one of the reasons I want him to win. Nothing against Wladimir but I just think haye is actually making this fight worth watching and I cant' wait.

I really hope Haye decapitates the scared stiff motherf*cker...Corrie Sanders style! This is the one that could put boxing into the mainstream again, at least for the short term and reinvigorate interest. A brutal victory for Haye means 2 world titles unified and the american and british media going nuts finally!
We saw what Wlad was all about when the spotlight was on him during the IBF and WBO unification fight at the MSG against Ibragimov. He was scared sh*t, pawing all night and bored the hell out of everybody, despite all the hype with the fight. He didn't come out of his shell.
It's time somebody just blew this f*cker away and takes the step forward to making boxing the talk of the town once again.

You are missing the point. Haye had all the chance to say what he wanted when they met in London. He wouldn't even share a room with Wlad. He was outdone in London because Wlad was going onto the BBC and charming the lace off every dame he met. Where was Haye? Sulking his tits off backstage and refusing to come out. Now he is all guff again. :wack:

So Vitali being the better brother is a myth, despite what the results might say in the future?

I suspect Haye's t-shirt and these topic posts are more compelling than the actual fight will be. I hope I am wrong because an interesting heavyweight title fight would be a refreshing change.

Hasn't Haye already said that he will retire after this fight? If that is the case then is there any upside to him winning and reason whatsoever to root for him?

The British journos {a sweatier more varicose bunch of dipshits you will never see, second only to their American counterparts for varicose bellicosity} are secretly hoping that Haye can turn the trick, and then chime in with the "oh his retirement must surely be delayed now, what a shot in the arm for the HW Division" nonsense.

The bottom line is that, as it stands, right now, the division fares better from Wlad winning than it does Haye, and whilst the journos know this, none of them will say it.

None of this is going to make a bit of difference when they meet in the ring. Pre-fight activities mean nothing. What happens in the ring is all that matters. Also, I'd say Haye is pretty gutsy. Would you ever throw a t-shirt in Vitali's face showing a picture of him and his brother with their heads cut off while you're standing over them???????:lol:

If Haye wins he won't retire. He'll only retire if (when) he loses and all his talk about doing so has been in preparation for that eventuality, so he can wake up after his beating and try to convince everyone that 'This was my last fight' and 'I knew I was past my peak so retirement is the only option now' etc

Of course not......he is just saying it to cover himself either way. If he wins, he can pack it in with no rematch and no Vitali fight, as he said he was going to retire. If he loses, well he was going to retire anyways. Its typical Haye. Nothing is said without it pandering to his own petty agenda, whilst he pumps the "Peoples Champion" angle.
