I told you Hanzy, I don't have a 50 anymore I think I have a 25, you want me to use that? Or try to hold both of them?
Nah, not worth it. Let's do a treadmill run instead. We'll all get on the treadmill and see who can run the fastest time in 12 minutes. Put the incline on 1.0 and put the countdown timer set to 12 minutes. They say a really fit guy can run 1.5 miles in 12 minutes. You have to be able to run this time in order to qualify to join the Air Force/Navy. The 12 minute/1.5 mile is the cut-off point. If you can't do it, you get automatically rejected. Game on!!!:shadow:
No problem getting the weights into position for the inclines today. 10 relatively easy reps. As soon as I get to 15 reps, it's time to up the weight. I might fuck around with a loaded barbell tonight and do anterior raises, but I'd have to work up to a significant weight as I'm not dumb enough to just try it out of the blue as heavy as I can. That'd be a great way to screw up my training for a few months. I'm more interested in being able to do handstand walking. I saw a guy walk on his hands down a flight of stairs before. I even think one guy walked down a tall building on his hands. That would give you more shoulder and arm strength than being able to hold a way at arm's length.
here is my last night run on the eliptical wanted to get the 10 miles in under 60 but turned up the intensity instead
I ran it at 5-6 for the 10 miles, it goes down to 1 for cool down I want to get it under 60 minutes for the 10 miles
I run the elliptical at the max level which is 25. Anything less than max is gay. Only gays do less than the max level. It means real mean need to use massive strength to be able to keep it going at the max level for an hour and if you go too slow, the machine automatically shuts down.
Lol I used to do the same, I started doing less resistance and spinning it faster after my knee was bothering me, I tore my meneicus years ago I find that less resistance and fast spinning doesn't bother it
My eliptical goes up to 15 but 5 is a lot of resistance 15 on mine is harder than 25 on some bitch ass machine Hanzy you are talking shit, doing around 7 min miles for 10 miles is no joke
I don't even have an eliptical.:: I only have a treadmill at home. Hey LOK, do you ever use the rowing machine? Let's have a race. For 2 minutes, see how many meters you can cover. Exactly 2 minutes. Set the setting on maximum hardest level. My best so far is 383 meters covered in 120 seconds. Not great but a start. It's also a MASSIVE workout because you're doing extreme intensity! It's good to try to use different cardio machines. The body needs a change up sometimes.
I never said I could run a 7 minute mile.:: That's like elite level athletes type of time. The best treadmill time I've ever done is doing the 12 minute test. I did 1.33 miles in 12 minutes. In order to join the Navy and Air Force, you have to be able to do 1.50 miles in 12 minutes. My brother did 1.84 but he's an amateur runner who does half-marathons and sh*t and he's only 153lbs. I'm not a very good runner really. I'm 228lbs which is really hard to run at.
You are talking shit thoug ph on my elliptical run saying only on 25 !! I can do 7 min mile pace but I'm shooting for 5-6 min mile pace for 10 miles I have an elliptical and a nice treadmill too. I use those and also the jumprope I don't have a rowing machine. I never used them as much, I felt like they were kind gay
I don't know what kind of eliptical you have. The one I used at the gym had a level 25 on it. That's the number of the resistance. Maybe your machine is different. I'm saying when I use the eliptical, I always have it on max resistance at level 25. My brother has much better cardio and conditioning than me but he can't beat me on the eliptical because it takes much more effort for him to deal with the level 25 max resistance setting because he's much lighter than I am. So it takes more effort for him to continuously deal with that resistance whereas I have more weight so it's not as hard for me to deal with more resistance. He's only 153 and I'm 228 or so. You gotta try the rowing machine one day. It's really fun. Do a brutal 2 minute balls to the wall session on the rowing machine and see if you can beat my 2 minute record. I covered 383 meters in 2 minutes.
My eliptical has much much more resistance than the ones I have tried before I'll try rowing again Hanzy, I don't have but I'll go to the gym and try. My fitness is getting awesome again, I'm probably near my peak now and getting better each week
i'm just messin with you Hanzy when I worked at Golds years back.. I used it from time to time becasue for whatever reason NO one used them really. We had like one guy who loved them but we had 2 of them and they were the best you could buy back then and no one used them. Probably becasue they are too much work! :) people would fill up the stairmasters and treadmills, so if i wanted to do some cardio i would sometimes use them. back then i was not too big into cardio in the gym, i liked to run outside. Now i primarly use my eliptical becasue i can do it inside when the kids are asleep. I got wireless headphones and have it so i can watch my big screen while i run. i'm trying for a sub 6 min mile 10 mile but i have not made it yet! i will do another session of jump rope this week too, that is really a great workout
Well, nailed 105lbers for 8 in the incline dumbbell presses. The dumbbells in the gym only go up to 115lbs, so I'll be at those in a week or two. I could have tried the 110lbers today, but I didn't want to interrupt my routine. I went from the 105lbers to doing sets of 20 in the vertical dip. I definitely felt that today.
Hanzy, skip some rounds and record it for us start out with like skip for 2 mins, rest for one, skip for 2, rest for one, do like 10 rounds or so
