I really just think Werdum got a huge head after beating Fedor. I dont think he trained for this fight with overeem. He thought he could sub him easy. And we all know that Overeem his a huge head i he thought he could knock werdum out easy. you got two guys who didnt train fighting each other. The result was two out of shape assholes making the sport look bad.

i can agree about werdum getting a big head after beating fedor, but they both trained hard i'm sure. it was what it was. a tactical yet lackluster of a fight.

What do you make of two guys completely gassed from such an inactive and lackluster fight then? Overeem had nothing in that last round. Werdum looked like it took all his energy just to stand up. Neither guy ever pushed a pace in any round.

Werdum hurt his knee. I have not heard anything about it, but during one of his flops to the ground he grabbed his knee like it was hurt. Then he started getting up real slow every time. I'm pretty sure it was an injury, not gassing.

As for Overeem, same old Overeem, gassing like he always has.

Werdum was getting up slower before the time he grabbed his knee.

Flopping and getting up is tiring.......apparently.

Did you see the extra weight around Werdum's mid section?

The fact that he was heavier and flabbier than he was against Fedor either means he didn't train hard OR he thought extra weight would help him against the bigger Overeem.

Regardless, a fighter is responsible for his own condition.

Werdum isn't a guy that really gasses. I seriously think the knee had everything to do with it.

Medical suspensions came out today. Werdum shows up fine. Gets a precautionary suspension of two weeks.
