Alexander vs Matthyse: FINAL predictions

Who ya got? I'm taking Matthyse to pull the minor upset, and stop Devon the Fake circa the 10th or 11th.

Yeah, Alexander by a pretty wide decision.

 

Lucas says that he knows he can't win a decision so i hope he comes out and fights like it. However Devon has a lot more skill so im expecting Devon to outbox him.

 

I haven't seen Matthyse fight yet but i've heard he's a pretty good puncher. Is he just a crude banger though?

If that's the case Alexander shouldn't have much trouble outboxing him.

 

He lost recently to a pretty jaded Judah, and with Alexander having pretty similar physical and stylistic traits to Judah, I can see Alexander racking up a pretty decent points win here. Pretty.

 

I missed the first couple rounds of Judah/Matthyse... but didn't most of you guys score that fight for Matthyse?

 

Nah I certainly never scored it for Matthysse.

Don't you just love how a totally-shot and punch-drunk Roy can still, in his slippers, interrupt Kellerman and clown him. ::

Even if the decision was shit, if Matthyse couldn't beat Zab he's not beating Alexander at this stage.

 

I'm still wondering what happened to Alexander during the Bradley fight. To mee he didnt' show up and basically quit.

he has to beat Mathysse and win impressively to get his status back somehow.

I couldn't care less about the Alexander fight tho tbh.

 

This is a loaded card.

 

I did. And I think Judah hits a lot harder and is faster than Alexander. Although Alexander I think is taller and rangier.

For Mathysse to win, he's just going to have to keep Alexander from tying him up when he gets close.

Also, if he's going for the knock-out, he needs to still throw a lot of punches. He can't do what that guy did against Alvarez and think he's going to do it with one shot. He needs to break Alexander down over time and then finish strong, hopefully stopping Alexander in the late rounds.

 

Zab clearly won that fight and only had one moment of trouble when he went down the the 10th.

I'm with X...I'm going with the upset special. I don't think Devon has enough pop to keep the guy honest.

 

He has enough speed and pop.

 

Speed yes. Pop I'm not so sure. The Urango KO was an aberration, a perfectly timed shot Urango never saw.

Plus, Devon gets touched up quite a bit. Gets hit far too much than you'd expect him to...and gets caught flush at that...rolls with very few shots.

 

Hopefully this heavyweight fight will end quick.

I got Alexander to decision Mathysse and Cloud to flat outright stop Mack.

Austin just got stopped. Some Haitian dude is now the WBC Heavyweight #1 Contender :doh:

 

Cloud vs Mack is next. I will watch that then I am hitting the sack.

 

This card has sucked so far.

Hopefully Mattyse-Alexander will make up for this.
