I think he is over-hyped but he's not bad and is far and away the most like-able of the nonsense-mongers currently loitering around at 150-160. Guys like Zbik have no power.

Chavez Jr is a fake moron that is followed around by his father who seems to be in the throes of some obesity-related pugilistic-dementia.

Tall Paul is OK in my book and seems determined to cash out early fighting only the very best of guys.

Pavlik doesn't know whether he is coming or going and I think the book is pretty much written on him by now.

Alvarez has vexed people, me included, with his nonsense at 150 but he is still only 21. The sort of horseshit he is indulging in is annoying but what do we prefer? An amateur star or a professional one?? He eschewed the amateur game and settled on the pro game instead.

Actually, I said once that he looked Irish, which he does. I then proceeded to give out about his "fight" with Matthew Hatton.

 

I like Canelo, and I think he has great upside potential if he's matched properly. He is just a kid and doesn't need to take the Fernando Vargas route and be brain dead by 26...I say let the guy progress and become more seasoned before throwing him in there with the lions. i just don't see the rush, wait until he's at least 24 like Khan before stepping in there with the big boys.

 

36 million people watched the fight in Mexico. Boxing is dying alright. Alverez is a mega superstar in Mexico.

Paul Williams - :bears: Win or Lose............there's no bigger "Man" in boxing. This is a dude that truly, just wants to fight, and he don't give a fuck who it is.

 

the fudged up thing about jason litszau is that he was winning the first and then when he got hurt, all he had to do was take a knee and see out the round. Instead he stood there taking power-punches into his bobble-head.

 

He is shot. That punch that initially hurt him, looked to be a grazing shot to me.

 

The first round was awful...no one was "winning."

 

Okay, the fudged up thing about Litzau is that nobody was winning the first round and then Litzau lost the first round by being brutally punched into his pinata head.

Shot??? Yeah that's why he beat Caballero in his last fight. Litzau and his chin were never better or worse.

Broner's just glad to catch him that early it would have been like that even for a "prime" Litzau...

 

Litzau was always getting clocked and he always had a neck that was too weak for his frame. He's probably too tall but not good enough to move up. Not a HBO fighter in my opinion.
