Better opponents don't let you just do what you please. Besides, post Sanders/Brewster, he is a different fighter anyways.
Wlad chin gets criticized way too hard. If you saw the Puritty fight, you see no chin problem. Sanders is a very hard puncher and in the brewster fight he was already sleepwalking then even took a huge punch without going down, but the fight ended way before that, anyways. Besides Sanders his KO losses came from being extremely fatigued. And against Peter he went down from being scred more than anything else, he didn't seem very hurt at all. Very bad at recuperating and fast to panic yeah. His chin is average at best but awful - I don't see it from his fights. Also his heart is not questionable - he's always trying at least, no matter how bad it looked a few times.
:bears: Pretty much. As I said, Wlad's chin is not as bad as WLAD feels it is. He get's clocked and goes into "Oh Fuck" mode. His chin isn't bad. It just isn't good. Its decent-average.
I am rooting for Haye but not against Klitchko. I could care less who wins but I like upsets and I think Haye has enough to do it. I just hope that nothing funny happens during the fight and it becomes controversial.
And you base that on his knockouts over....? Yes, Wlad is a pussy, just like his brother--there's no need to repeat it again and again.
You don't base a heavyweight being an ATG at any particular aspect of boxing on him showcasing it against a completely shot old man It would be like deciding Larry Holmes had a great jab because of the Ali fight
Maybe. But Wlad had been in the business of moving his hands before that, Byrd for instance, and Monte Barrett too. Most guys cannot throw a triple left on the heavybag, never mind against an opponent.
sure, that is a unique skill, but greatness is determined by effectiveness which in turn is measured against a fighters opposition Sean O'Grady looked pretty awesome knocking the dogshit out of nobodies in Oklahoma and than fought a real pro for the first time in Danny Lopez and got killed Not saying Wlad isn't talented, because he definitely is, but I don't know that he warrants being called an ATG offensive fighter based off of the likes of Byrd, Barrett and Mercer
Vitali was winning clearly when he was injured, and his offense is about as mechanical and one-dimensional as it gets... left-arm-punch, right-arm-punch Holy was 100, Golota was Golota and Tua was fat Ibeabuchi didn't have any trouble getting Byrd out of there, as a matter of fact he did it more impressively than Wlad did... I don't think anyone is going to call Ike an all-time-great offensive fighter off of that
Did Haye actually call Klitschko "Boy"??? :dunno: :: at Sky's promotion of the fight...Wlad is the chemically enhanced Robot, and Haye is the all-natural trier. :wack:
