R.I.P. Nick Charles

Damn - seems like yesterday he was on that HBO broadcast to call his last fight - obviously they tried to make him look healthy again.

I worked with Nick for years at CNN. I was a scared little 23 year old who was still learning television. He was always kind. (Not the case for most "star" anchors). It's traditional to say nice things about someone who just passed on, however, in this case, it's easy. Nick Charles was a really nice guy.
Rest easy.

 

It should have been Jim Gray.
