UFC Live: Marquardt-Story 6/26/11 (Prediction Contest)

Dude, I tear down those that make moronic comments. Calling Gamburyan a below average MMA fighter is one of those comments.

The guy is an accomplished judoka and a black belt in BJJ. Beyond that, he is fast, athletic and has good power.

The UFC currently has 34 fighters on their FW roster. Manny is in the top half of that 34. Period.

So far that's Meathead and Matt Brown who are both getting fined. ::

This fight is basically the UFC equivalent to a WWE squash match. Like a Yushin Okami-Lucio Linhares type of fight where a B+/A- fighters gets to look like a world beater because he's fighting a C level fighter.

By the way, Dan actually stopped the fight and then changed his mind. To me that's actually BS.

 

still cant believe that hendricks lost to story. he's a far better wrestler than story and should've done exactly what brenneman did last night.

 

how did barry even manage to get to UFC? his record is terrible. oh, and he sucks.

It's funny, but I've always kind of felt the same way. But when you look at his record, it says otherwise.

The dude has only been knocked out once and that was way back in 2004 against Gilbert Yvel who was a good puncher.

Cro Cop couldn't get him out. Cain couldn't even dent his chin. Hardonk hit him cleanly and Kongo didn't fall.

Yet Mir dropped him with one shot and Barry had him nearly out with a clipping shot.

I think it might have something to do with him being shot.

Odd though.

 

He's a likable guy and that's about it. He has the worst "Elite striking" I have ever seen. He's not aggressive at all, he's got fucking T-Rex limbs and is a tiny HW. How he can beat anyone in the UFC is beyond me. Barry is a one trick pony, and that one trick is not even impressive.
