DEGALE vs GROVES

Monday morning and the DeGale loss has yet to leave my head. I'm still shocked.

finally watched the fight - thought groves won a close one. thanks for the updates and comments guys

Chunky is one of very few Brits that are backing Wlad.

The only reason I was happy was because the entire SKY SPORTS bench had rounded on Groves and was saying that they knew DeGale would win and it was only a matter of how and when. Interestingly, the same people, Jim Watt, McGuigan and Johnny Nelson, are talking Wlad down and Haye up in much the same way.

I never liked that attitude, anytime, by anyone, on the behalf of anyone. Groves as a professional fighter who was entitled to be regarded as having at least some chance.

DeGale didn't do himself any favours with his Haye-esque shenanigans before the fight.

As for the fight itself it was very close.

Degale won that by 2 rounds, I dont know what ya ' all could see Groves doing,.. all I saw was the occassional weak pot-shot, and him swivelling around the perimeter hurt with everything Degale landed. My thoughts on Groves just took a massive dip, I thought he was better than what people were saying pre-fight, now it's criss crossed a bit,..I think he's worse than I thought, and ya'll think he's better.

Groves is the most frail, glass chinned fighter as far as noteable british boxers are concerned, everything Degale landed hurt him.

 

Absolutely Kauks, it still surprises me people were so impressed by such negative tactics, DeGale was the only guy trying to make a fight in there. Chunky won it.
