I Might pick big chris over Haye. I dont think Haye has proven himself as heavyweight.

That fight was pathetic, absolutely pathetic,.. in some ways Wlad has not improved, but regressed badly,.. if the Wlad that fought Jameel Mccline was in there that night,.. what do you reckon would have happenned?... He's so fuckin brainwashed with this horrible new style,.. that he seems to have forgotten more than he's gained.

The 1st 5 Rounds or So were Intriguing...

By that Point, Haye's SPEED was the Story of the Fight for REED...He'd Shown that he Could PREVENT Wlad from Landing Solid & he had Wlad Somewhat FRUSTRATED by the Feints & Head Movement...

REED Expected Haye to @ Least ATTEMPT to Step Up the Aggression or SOMETHING...But he Never Did...

    Yeah, pretty much.

The funny thing is that Wlad is more lightly regarded now, with the safe, winning style, than he was when he was an offensive fighter that sometimes got knocked out.

Not really, like Slice said it went as expected.

I expected Wlad to dominate Haye and for Haye to not take the chances necessary to win and that's exactly what happened.

By the way saying "He went 12 rounds with the best offensive heavyweight" etc doesn't really mean much.

You can say the same thing about Mosley against Pacquiao. While not as negative as Mosley, the fact is Haye never REALLY tried to win, he just settled for a decision loss like most of Wlad's other opponents.

Having said all that, I do agree the fight wasn't quite as bad as people are making out. Somehow a bit more entertaining than the average Wlad fight anyway.

No, he is more highly regarded now, just liked a lot less. For one, the entertainment factor is lacking, as are the chances of him losing. It pays to do at least one, entertain/lose, if you are a Klitschko.

Wladimir's setting his sights on chisora & fury now.

Hope wlad sticks around for price. Interesting fight as price has the size here and power.

Gareth A Davies {wonder what "A" stands for} has quoted Berndt Boente as saying that they are open to Haye vs Vitali

“I know Haye intends to retire in October, but the fight we would like to see is Vitali Klitschko against David Haye,â€￾ Boente said. “But Vitali will first fight Adamek in October. Then I would like to see Haye versus Vitali. It is a fight I have in my mind, and it is definitely possible. I think it would be a good fight, and a great promotion - Haye’s chance to redeem himself against the other Klitschko.â€￾

I'd like to see Chisora get his shot if he handles Fury easily. Wouldnt win of course, but he'd give it a go and take the risks David wouldn't, early on anyway.

Thats what I watched. It was frustrating sure, but high quality and an explosion up from any heavyweight fight we've seen for ages.

Haye's head movement towards the end of the fight deteriorated alot imo

I dont think the Mosley comparisons are fair whatsoever. He might have taken more chances through the last 3 or 4 rounds sure, but he fought absolutely the best he could up until then at least.

  18. I'm with you, Hut. Fuck the rest of these guys!!

I was hoping for (and expecting) more drama and action...but both guys came to fight and to win and it was a fascinating chess match at times.

Yeah, he was exhausted. A big guy leaning and man handling you every time you launch an attack is physically and mentally grinding.

    Agreed.

I have to give Haye credit also for lasting the distance.

5 of wlad's previous opponents to haye didn't last the distance, so credit where credit is due.

Well it's obviously not going to happen. Maybe he could get a fight against Vitali but i'm sure the Klitschkos would be more than happy to shut him out of the picture instead.
